this is the 2nd game of the best of 5 series in German Finals.
Artland is the big story of the play-offs. qualified as the number 8 seed they swept the no 1 seed 3-0 in first round and went on to beat the no 5 seed and defending champ 3-2 in the semis.
Brose is the no 3 seed and afer a tough 5 games series in first round beat the no 2 seed 3-1 in semis quite comfortably.
First game of the finals was last sunday with Artland getting the upset away win 70-69...now everybody is talking about the small town team (it more likely a very small village) as the big (public) favourite.
Infact they are red hot, but some major factor happened with none of the books has put in sofar.
The starting guard from Puerto Rico went down with injury late in sunday s match. he was questionable till today, but is now officially out.
He was the top scorer for Artland in the first game with 16pts (and that was for just over 3 quaters). He avarages 15.6 so far in the play-offs.
The line is still in favour of Artland by -1.5 as it opened.
But Brose is a tough team. they got probably the most expirenced coach in germany and are still the no 3 seed. lot of talking and motivation is to get it right back on thursday as they did already in first round of play-offs, when they also lost the first game at home.
It will be a relatively close game till the last quarter, but with the injury i see definetely a Brose straight up win.
I doubt the line will stay like that and expect more of at least a pk at game time (still a strong play on Brose).
