Been there...I had to put my English Bulldog down a few years back...It's amazing how your animal can turn a bad day around with just a wag of the tail...I'll always have a dog in my life...Now I have Bandit(an Akita)...Sorry for your loss Geppi
It just shows how fragile and precious all life is and how we need to make the most of each day. We need to look beyond the frivolity and realize what relationships mean to us so we can make the most of those moments. As humans we tend to put an emphasis on the wrong things; we should all have a dog's mentality and forgiveness in our relationships. You could scream, yell, punish and even beat a dog and he/she will forgive you and come back and lick your hand. Truly God's creatures; makes you wonder who was really made in His likeness.
sorry to hear...no matter what anyone says, our pets ARE family....and it hurts almost as much when one leaves....they are unconditionally there for us always..
As a Big Animal lover, I feel your pain.
I have Lost Dogs, Cats and even Horses...And I feel that when you lose one, it's like losing one of your Family members.
If you didn't receive it from your Vet, Look up "Rainbow Bridge" on the internet.
RIP Geppi

Geppi, There is a poem called The Rainbow Bridge that will comfort you. Google it and you will read it many time over the years. Over the years I have had to put down 5 poodles, a springer spaniel, hound dog and 2 cats. Still have 3 poodles and 2 cats. It can be really hard. LT
