I am a die hard Packer fan and know all too well how good they are this year...not very. Jacksonville is the better team in this one. If this game was to be played in good weather, or even fair weather, I would make Jacksonville a GOY pick. However, that being said, the weather will be an issue. It is going to be down right nasty. The temperature at kick off will be around 10 degrees and should be near zero by the end of the game. The wind chill is supposed to be in the -20 to -30 range, with 20+ MPH winds and a chance of snow. GB has the advantage with the weather considering they played in similar weather last week vs. Detroit. Wasn't as cold, but just as windy. This fact downplays Jacksonville to a mere play for the week. I would take Jacksonville and the points though, they are a better overall team than GB. Byron shouldn't have too much of a problem with the cold, and if he does, I will make a timely dash onto the field to cough up A. Green...he is due for a fumble, he hasn't had one since Week 5. As I said above, I am a die hard fan, so I will be rooting for GB...let's hope for a 3 point victory and I can double up!

I also live in Wisky and I will be at the game. Thank goodness for some indoor seating. We do have one major difference. I can't stand the lowly Packers. I really loved this play and as of Monday it looked very good for Jax. 30's and a little snow. I would have loved it but my weather station says the same as yours. Cold and windy. I think this has a major impact on the game and I will be playing Jax as well but for a lot less than I would have been. Good luck, but I am hoping for a Jax romp!!!!!!!!

Green Bay...Sunday

Mostly cloudy and very cold...with a chance of snow showers. Highs in the middle teens. Wind chills 10 to 15 below zero. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Under the total may be the way to look....

I'm with you, Kramer--the under might be the best play of all. GB & Detriot managed 26 points, and the Jax D is quite good.

Yes the Pack did come back to win in the second half but were never even close to covering at any point in the game. Do you really think you should be down to Detroit at home???? This game is very questionable due to the cold weather. But you must remember Jax is fighting for their playoff lives. They CAN'T lose. Byron is from a Mac team that played plenty of games in this weather. Should be a good game but I am hoping for a well fought game with Jax winning. Good luck to all on the game.

At the onset let me mention that I’m a Jax fan. Having said that I believe there are two elements going against the Jags this week. One is the elements, and the other being their Achilles heel, which is their offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave.

Yes they are a scrappy bunch, which have won very close games. It was Musgrave’s predictable and conservative play calling that put this team in those too frequent “do or die” situations. When will he ever learn that insisting on going to Taylor in 3rd and short situations is not the answer? He has failed miserably through out the season with this stubborn approach. I don’t trust him.

I agree with Kramer that a more prudent attitude toward this game would be in looking at the total.

Thanks,
Henry

If you loathe the Packers, what are you doing going to the game? A JAX fan in Fond Du Lac? Go jump in the lake. If you don't come out smarter, maybe you won't come out.:biglaugh:

The wind will help negate the major weakness in the Packer defense--the secondary. It was a godsend last week, Harrington couldn't throw five yards. Leftwich might be the same way. In any case, it will allow the secondary to play tighter and crowd the line.

You can throw in the cold, but not in the swirling winds that will turn Lambeau into a meat freezer in the second half.

The obvious hardly ever comes home, but it's difficult to imagine either team scoring three TDs in that artic wind tunnel. The Packers don't have to win this one, and might be looking to the true critical game next Friday afternoon at Minnesota.

Under looks like the call.

Jarbo, I am not a Jax fan just whoever the Packers play that week. You don't have to be a Packer fan to go to a Packer game. There are other people in the stadium that don't cheer for the Packers. Not many but some. That being said I am a realist and realize the Pack simply is not that good. The only thing that scares me is if Ahman has a field day. I will take my chances with Jax having a game plan to stop exactly that. I will take the team that is playing for their lives. Jax +3'. Good luck to all whichever side you take.
