Taking a road fav off a short week in a divisional game usually not a wise move but can't help love GB in this instance. I really believe that Detroit could be the worst team in the NFL and on pace for a 2-14 or 3-13 season. On defense they just don't have the personnell to compete and are among the worst in both defending the pass and run, as well as just open field tackling. They are one dimensional and even though say they are trying to get the run established it's just not going to happen. GB should have no problem generating a pass rush and combining the fact they have big physical corners to go against Detroits only strength which is their WR's is a nice matchup. GB also has the advantage in special teams, as Detroits #1 kick and punt returner as of now is Mike Furrey :)lolBIG:) they also had issues stopping a few big returns from Atlanta last week.

As far as being at home goes, if GB gets out to an early lead look for the crowd to turn on the Lions and the boo-birds to come out things could get pretty ugly. The talk in Detroit over the Lions hasn't been positive after getting routed by Atlanta and allowing 350+ rush yards. Green Bay in a route 41-13.

Opinions on this game?! :drink:

I agree I haven't seen a more terrible performance on defense in a while. The lions could not do anything.

Offense was not much better. Kitna was yelling at his coaches and was not leading his team. He wants to pass every down and will not be happy until that happens.

I predict GB in a route as well with 2 picks for touchdowns against kitna and the lions.

Green Bay is a top 5 team in the league imo, but this line tells me Detroit has a good chance of winning SU. Kind of like last week when everyone was on Detroit at this line on the road against Atlanta and got killed. Detroit could come out and click on offense and put up some big points.

Rodgers has been waiting for 4 years for last night's game. Since it went the way it did, there is a chance it could be a letdown performance for him from game 1 to game 2.

Considering this and the fact that the Lions gave up 318 yards rushing to the Falcons, I would seriously hope GB gives them a huge dose of Ryan Grant.

Don't think GB is a top 5 team, yet anyway. We'll see. However, agreed 100% in your assessment of a Green Bay win being only a 3 point favorite, road or no road. Granted Detroit is/was a much better team at home BUT Detroit is a gutless, no heart team. There's no desire, no passion there at all. Kitna is about the only one who shows any emotion, they've got no OLine, defense completely sucks and gets torched season after season.

You want to make money? Just bet against the Lions each week. At the end of the season, you'll be well in the black.

A few thoughts:

- Rodgers will be playing with confidence after a fairly solid showing against Minny.

- Ryan Grant can eat the Lions' D alive.

- Ryant Grant can eat the Lions' D alive.

- Ryan Grant can eat the Lions' D alive lol I'll stop now.

- Al Harris will be feasting off a team that loves to get picked off.

Packers roll here.

Yes Ryan Grant is more banged up than reported. His hamstring is not doing well which is the reason that Brandon Jackson was playing most of the 4th quarter.

Anyone who watched that game understands that Jackson IS NOT a very good running back....not anything like Michael "the burner" Turner. The runs that Turner made last week were the result of his blazing speed once he got into the open field.

The Packers do not have anything like that. Aaron Rodgers was comfortable playing at home but playing in Detroit is a different story. The lions have a clear advantage in the passing game with Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson vs two corners that love to grab and hold which will result in at least 3 pass interference penalties.

This is going to be a closer game than anticipated. If I see 3.5 I love the Lions.

Big Pack fan here. Tread lightly GB backers. Could have some look ahead with Dallas slated next week. Also short week for the Pack. Something smells funny with that line.
