I was all set to “bust” another scamdicapper – but then I heard this ad on the radio – and knew I had to go after this loser. I will say that at the end of the conversation when I spoke to these clowns I had more fun f*****g with them than just about anyone out there. I heard this ad around Noon on XTRA 690/1150 in the So Cal area and it sounded like this:
“Attention point spread players. Professional Point Spread Handicapper Gary Sanders has just concluded the greatest month of his career (imagine that – bet he has never said that before – yeah, right) by nailing a sensational and documented 82% of his best bets in September. Call him directly now for tonite’s Tampa Bay/Indy point spread winner absolutely free at 1-800-444-BETS (2387). Since 1998 Gary is has posted a sensational 65-19 mark on Monday Night documented by the Las Vegas Monitor as the best in the business. His nationwide network of NFL contacts has gathered so much game deciding information on tonite’s showdown Gary is making this his ‘Monday Night Play of the Season’ and personally guarantees you’ll collect from your sportsbook Tuesday morning. Vegas makes Tampa a 4.5-point favorite with an over/under of 37. Is it time to parlay? Tonite’s release is FREE and GUARANTEED to beat the spread. Call 1-800-444-BETS, that’s 1-800-444-2387. Gary knows where the smart money is going and he us just a phone call away. Call Gary Sanders Sports at 1-800-444-BETS!”
Well, how can I pass up a “POY,” right? I will add that a few ads that also ran on 690/1150 from scamdicappers after Gary basically all said the same exact thing meaning we know they are all in the “same bed” together. They also all claimed to be #1 at something or another – meaning (and I know this will shock many of you) someone is lying (gasp – in this industry – NEVER!).
So, with all of this it was off to a pay phone to take up Gary on this offer (knowing full well what would happen – and I know I have busted this clown before – so I knew what the call would be like)
I called at 2:54P (all times PDT – since I live in PDT). The person who picked up the phone said, “Hello.” I said I was calling for Gary’s Play of the Year, which I heard about on the radio. The guy said, “This Gary.” He then did what EVERYONE else did – he asked, “How much do you play?” I said it depends if I like it or love it. He asked how much I played Sunday. I (lied and) told him “Not too much, just a couple hundred, or so.” Gary asked me, “If I make you money are you going to stick around with me?” I told him I would. Gary then asked for my name and number and said he would call me back soon.
A few minutes later – the phone rang. I picked up the phone and the person told me he was “Gary, Jr.” He sounded reallllllllllllly young, too. He asked me to get a pen and some paper (little did he know!) so I could write down some information on them.
Gary (From now on I will cal Jr., this). said he has (and get this) owned the company for 9 years and then said he is 20-years-old now (So let me get this straight – this guy has owned a sports gambling company since he was 11-years-old and even now he isn’t old enough to legally gamble but he co-owns a company with his father that preaches gambling – is this legal?).
Gary told me people see a line of 4.5 and a total of 37 but they don’t know all that goes into making a line. He then told me how the people who make the line also bet the same games, adding how people in Vegas at hotels like the Stardust and Mandalay Bay bet the games offshore (why not at their hotel – or one next door?) and those who do go thru these guys. Gary told me they have hit 9 straight Monday Night football plays.
Gary told me they needed a solid individual like myself. He asked me if I have a local book and what is the most I can play with them. He asked if I could put a few grand on the games – and I told him I could.
Gary told me that if I signed up for a week of their services after that week I will say how I had my best week ever with this guy (that would be me saying I had the best week with Jr.’s plays). Gary said he has never had a problem with a customer (little does he know what is awaiting him). Gary then gave me his “private number” of 516-796-0600.
Gary once again said how he owned the company and that by signing up I would be involved with him for the 7 days during the trial week. The cost of the week was $225. He told me it is a figure that won’t make me poor and if it does – they don’t want me on board (hinting that if it did – I wouldn’t have any money to gamble – and I will agree with him here on this matter). He told me that by signing up I would be with them thru next Monday Night. He GUARANTEED me I would be up a MINIMUM of $1,000. I asked him what would happen if I wasn’t? He told me I would either get my $225 back (I sense HELL would freeze over before that happened) or I would get more pix (in other words – more losing picks – right?). Gary told me that by paying them the $225 today I would be UP $4,000 to $5,000 by next Monday (but didn’t he guarantee me I would be up $1,00 by Monday – why didn’t he guarantee me the $4,000 to $5,000 – I’d rather have that amount).
Gary told me they see players of all levels (of their plays) from $50-$100 ones to those that are really big players. Gary said he wants to be judged on his plays only because he can do it “week in and week out.” He is here to make as much money as possible for his clients (how nice of him!). He then added, “The people we invest in (for information) bet millions on the games.” He added, “They control the line.” I wanted him to explain what he meant in more detail – so he did.
He told me a line is 75% computer generated with the other 25% “controlled” by 24 different oddsmakers who help make up the line. Gary then said, “I have to beat the line.” He added his father (Gary, Sr.?) was a former oddsmaker himself (Sorry – I DO NOT believe this for one second). Gary said they are looking for investors (Read: SUCKERS). He then rhetorically asked me if he made me $4,000 to $5,000 for the week would I argue any about paying him? (DUH – NO – but you can’t do it – so why bother blowing smoke up my ass).
I asked Gary what sports they do – and he told me baseball and football. I asked him what percentages they hit for the season. He was ready for this one for he gave me an answer ASAP. Gary told me they try and pickup a “couple of units a week” and that if I bet $300 a game and finished the week up 5-7 units I’d be happy (and I would – agree).
Gary said if tonite’s (TB/Indy) game loses I will get my money ($225) back or the rest of the month for free. He told me they normally charge $1,000 for this play (and you know people are lined up around the block waiting to pay/play it, too) but they are lowering it to $225 because they want to get guys (suckers?) in. I said how I heard on the radio how this was their “Play of the Year.” Gary then replied how this was one of their strongest plays of the year and how it couldn’t be the play of the year since it was too early in the season. Gary then told me about a game Saturday where the line is “off 9-10 points” trying to change the subject ASAP (and for the record – Gary spoke about 500-miles a minute the whole time and it was painfully clear he was reading from a script – which shocked me because how many “owners” of the company need to read scripts – especially those who have been doing this for 9 years?).
I then asked Gary what I would be charged for their services after this week for $225? Gary told me they can work out a seasonal contract where out of every 11 games – they would GUARANTEE I would hit at least 9 (for those who suck at math – that comes out to a GUARANTEED 82% - yeah, right). I was told if I “bet a nickel on every game” (they gave me) I would be up $3,500 after those 11 plays (actually it would be $3,400 since the 9 winners would make me $4,500 while the 2 losers would cost me $1,100 for a total of $3,400 – but I guess since Gary lives in “Fantasyland” his plays are “juice free”). He told me that when I get started I go thru a security company that would process my credit card and charge me a $10 fee for it.
I wasn’t done with him, though. I said how the radio ad said their Play of the Year was absolutely free for all callers so why was I going to have to pay for it? Gary said the game is free to all people who sign up for their services but if I really wanted a Bonus Play on the game, their Bonus Play was the “UNDER” (with the advantage of hindsight – think this was a bad pick – and if they gave this out – I’d love to hear them try and claim they hit the parlay – for they gave out the UNDER to me – and they only way they could say they hit it – was if they gave out BOTH sides of the game – and we know services NEVER do that – right?)
I then asked Gary about their radio ad and the fact it said they were monitored by the “Las Vegas Monitor” but there was no such thing as the “Las Vegas Monitor” so how could the radio ad say that? Gary said he lives in New York and didn’t hear the ad that ran in L.A. I wasn’t going to let him off the hook that easy though. I said/asked him, “You own the company, right?” to which he replied he did. I then said/asked him, “You paid for the time on the radio station in L.A., right?” to which he said he did. I then said/asked him, “So then are you trying to tell me you paid for an ad promoting your company and you have no idea what is says – that’s not very smart for it could say bad things about your company and I doubt you’d want to pay for that, would you?” I KNOW Gary wasn’t ready for this last one because he stammered BIG TIME and said, “Let me put you on hold and have my dad call you back?”
A few minutes later, Gary, Sr. called me back to try and “clean up” the mess I put his son it. Gary tried to play nice but I wasn’t having any of it – I wanted BLOOD from these guys! Gary asked what was going on. I told him I heard on the ad they were monitored by the “Vegas Monitor,” but I knew there was no such thing as it. Gary told me there was and did what all companies do when caught, mention the Sports Monitor in Oklahoma in hopes of throwing me off. I then told him I have friends in Vegas and I used to live there myself (a tiny lie – I visit Sis there a lot – so same thing – almost) and none of us has ever heard of it. He once again told me “It exists.” I had heard enough and decided to end this call MY WAY!
I asked him if he has ever heard of a website called “The Prescription?” He might have been one of the few who said he did (I sense he was lying – but he said he did). I gave him the site address and told him it was good her heard of it. I told him I post at the site under the name “Winkyduck” and one of the things I do is call services who promise free games and fail to deliver said promises and then post all that went on when I called these services and if he checked the NFL Forum on Tuesday he would see my entire interaction with their service on the site.
Gary then got testy (can’t say I blame him) and asked in a not so nice voice, “Is this what you do all day? You don’t have a life?” I replied back in an even nastier voice saying, “Is this what YOU do all day – scam people all day with promises of free games only to bait-and-switch on them?” Gary then said, “I’ll talk to you later – good bye” and then hung up on me.
I sense he won’t be calling back – and even if he does – it was a pay phone and I won’t be anywhere near it. I gotta tell y’all it felt GREAT to finally “push back” with these scamdicapping losers and see what kind of reax I got.
I doubt this clown – or clown, junior, will ever stop by here to see this post – but in case they do – make sure you leave a reply, or two, to them, so they can see your comments. I know once they see it they will change the way they do business. And pigs will fly, too.
I will add that I have my “radar” set and locked in on a rather large target and will give this service a call sometime soon. There is a reason I have waited longer than I would like – and once I call them you will see why. The service I am going after could provide a result that will leave people here in major league stitches. They may think they are big time stuff – but once I get thru with them – they see otherwise. As for when I will post it – I’d rather not say so if they do lurk here (I doubt they do – but if they do) they don’t get tipped off to my call and prepare for it.
