It's a great day to be an American!
Congrats to all here who kept the faith. It would be easy now to rub their noses in it, but I think we are better than that. I think the Democrats need to take a long hard look at their party. If they continue in the mode they've been in the last few years they run the risk of being politically marginalized to the point that they become almost irrelevant. The two party system is extremely important for too many reasons to list here, so I hope they get back on the right page in the tradition of some of the great Democrats from years gone by.
From a shelfish perspective, this was the single most financially rewarding event I've ever been involved with. I literally had 40% of my betting bankroll riding on this election in one form or another. There were so many outright scalps available that I find it hard to believe everbody didn't make money (Reps and Dems).
My hats off to Patriot, Gameface, Shotgun, Joint Pleasure, et al., you guys fought the good fight and put up with a lot more verbal abuse than was called for. Succinctly stated, you were right, they were wrong!
Now that the election is over, this forum will just fade away, but it was fun while it lasted. Peace, and goodluck the rest of the betting season!
