I have not posted all year but i cant stay away from this game.

Kentucky +2

I live and omaha go to the Creighton games all the time. Will be there 2marrow night to cheer the jays on but its not going to help. This team is not that good. Yes home crowd will help. It will be sold out at the Quest Center. It will be close early but to much wildcats 2marrow for the jays to handle.

71-60 Wildcats have bluejays for dinner 2marrow night:103631605

Won't this be one of the most raucous crowds in Creighton's history???

nope. students (and players) around here aren't that excited about the NIT, especially on school nights-the students just don't show up to the games.

In terms of creighton, we play down, way down to our oponents, but we also show up for big games. We smoked dayton at dayton, and we played what i think was our best game at southern illinois (our rival). If the players are motivated enough (and i think having the winningest program in college basketball at our home court will) we'll pull out a close one. still not gonna bet on it though. If anything, i'd take creighton ML in a close one.

good luck with your bet ... but UK sucks and I wouldn't bet on them.
There is so much tension at UK it is ridiculous
All the talks about when Billy Gillispie losses the next game, he will be out the door. President Todd, AD Barnhardt and Gillispie had a meeting on Friday. From my understanding, it was said that he will be out as coach of UK. Not because he is doing bad with his X's and O's (which he is), but because he has been a jerk around town and to the media.
His latest stint was he came out and said that he was not an ambassador to anyone and he is his own man. UK was not happy about this.

The players are tired and done with basketball right now. There are 3-4 players thinking of transfering and Meeks and Patterson might be gone to the pros.

The recruits parents have called Barnhardt about Gillispie's future and he has not called them back.

UK has been HORRIBLE this year ... especially on the road. They are not motivated for this game.

I would play Creighton or nothing at all

UK is too unreliable at this point to bet on them ...

I thought Gillespie just got there not too long ago. I guess they give people a short leash in Kentucky. They do have a nice track in Keeneland although I don't know why they went to Polytrack. I know there was an early speed bias on the rail for races such as the Blue Grass stakes, but Poly? I play horses on occasion (usually the Triple Crown races and a few of the preps), but I like to follow the races for 3-year olds leading up to the Triple Crown Races. In my opinion, the Kentucky Derby provides some of the greatest value due to the fact there is 20 different horses running. Trifectas pay in five digits while Superfectas pay in six digits, and one time it payed seven digits (over a million) I think a few years ago. Furthermore, some chalk won last year in Big Brown and I don't think a favorite will win two years in a row based off historical data.

It is not because of his wins/losses. He has had several incidents with UK and it is his personality. He has been banned from 3-4 restaurants in Lexington. He has had 3 incidents with ESPN where they actually called and complained to Barnhardt about him. His famous halftime interview where he told Jeanene Edwards that she asked a stupid question. They also did a behind the scenes look at UK and Gillispie was very rude to Cohen from ESPN. He was asked about being an ambassador for UK and what people should expect from him ... and he said he was not an ambassador for UK and he doesn't answer to anyone. Every media person here hates him because he is a JERK. He treats people like crap. That is why people want him gone. He is a bad representative of UK

I too live in Omaha, would not bet Kentucky at this point. I am not a Jays fan but can see them getting really up for the famous Kentucky name. All anyone thinks around here is that they are playing the Kentucky teams of their final 4 caliber. The local rag has run Sports front page stories on the "big" matchup with Kentucky ever since the game was set up. The Jays had a hangover in the 1st round of the NIT for not going to the NCAA but I think they are somewhat over that now and with the name team in town, they will be ready. The only thing I am not sure about is if the local Jay fans realize that they will be in the NIT sweet 16 and not the NCAA sweet 16 if they beat Kentucky tonight.

Actually it would be the elite 8 if they win

Same difference though...

Kentucky might be having a bad year by their standards, but they are still better than the suck ass Creighton Jays. I watched UK's last game against UNLV, they were motivated and played with intensity in their easy win over the Runnin Rebs.

UK wins this one easily tonight.

although i agree with jbragg that bg is heading out of uk, I still think they are the superior team to Creighton. But, they have great home-court advantage so it's a no bet.

good job on this game.

I really didn't see this coming ...
but like I said, I will never bet on UK again this year because you don't know what team will show up.
