Always interesting to follow games when you bet a side *and* the o/u.

I've got ChiSox and Over 11.

Bottom of the 4th, 2 outs. Texas 4, ChiSox 1. Texas has men on 1st and 3rd.

A double would definitely help the Over. But a double would probably kill my ChiSox bet.

But an out probably doesn't help me at all. It would be 4-1 in the 5th. Still need 7 runs for the Over, and the ChiSox would still be down 3 runs (and probably lose).

Damn, Soriano struck out. Oh well.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

Funky,
That situation is nearly as bad as when Willy has to take a leak during NASCAR and has to choose whether to miss a lap in order go out to the Outhouse or to just rough it and fill the spitoon

Tuff spot. Personally don't like to bet side and total in same game (I know they are totally separate), in this case though I would have been rooting for Texas runs no matter what. Looks like a split would be a good thing at this point.

Konerko just took Wasdin deep, in the words of Hawk Harrelson "You can put it on the board" 4-3 Rangers in 7th. Wasdin gets the hook after homer.

What goes up, must come down.

After winning with Balt/StL/Pitt, my night came to a crashing halt with:

Atl
ChiSox
ChiSox Over 11

Three tough losses. Braves blew it in the 10th inning, ChiSox blew it in 8th inning. Doh!

Oh, and Texas had men on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in the 8th inning. Sac fly would've been 11 runs, a hit would've been 12 runs.

And Rod Barajas (who I recently dropped from my fantasy team) went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 1 run.
