Gallup Daily: Obama’s Lead Widens Some on All Bases

Advances to 8-point lead among “traditional likely voters”

PRINCETON, NJ -- The political landscape could be improving for Barack Obama in the waning days of the campaign. Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Oct. 28-30 shows him with an eight percentage point lead over John McCain among traditional likely voters -- 51% to 43% -- his largest margin to date using this historical Gallup Poll voter model.

I'm trying to figure out how you can get accurate poll #'s when 80% or more of the people who they call hang up (record high number of refusal to answers this year).

You guys are going to be bawling your baby blue eyes out on Tuesday Night.

Obama's so confident...he's going to Iowa again!

Obama was set to spend the day on a campaign crush across the Midwest, with a quick stop home in Chicago to see his kids. He makes his first stop back where his run began, in Des Moines, Iowa,

Guess the internal polling is telling Obama something else? :nohead:

The key there is the stop home for trick or treating with his kids. Since he was going to do that, they were looking for something close by. Des Moines made the most sense as a sort of a valedictory tour. He's taking time off the trail to be with his kids. That says a couple of things. Afterwards, it's on to a late rally in Indiana.

Or maybe its common sense since its the closest state to home so he could be with his kids like he always does.

Hey MJ correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the poll you've touted the passed 3 weeks?

:nohead: The undecideds were looking for trillion dollars more of government spending and freebie handouts to people who don't pay taxes?

Again, John Stossel was right.

If wrong assumptions are being made...1000 polls matter not.

Talk about sheep.

This upset will be epic...crush the hard left and show the media what it really is ...once and for all.

I want apologies and mea culpa's from each one of you...even if its just close and Obama still wins.

I think people should stop focusing on nat' poll. GE is decided by electoral college. Looking at the electoral map, McCain will have to win Pennsylvia while hanging on Florida & Ohio in order to win the White House. Very unlikely.
