Poll shows Hawaii congresswomen Tulsi Gabbard won last night's first democrat
presidential debate with a 40 percent approval rating. Chief Elizabeth Warren was
second with John Delaney coming in third.

Early numbers indicate between 17-18 million people watched the debate, I was
not one of them. If you watched...who do you think made the best/worst showing?

I saw many parts of it, then some snippet replays later.
Sickening.
They lied their asses off... free everything, open borders, you name it.
Beto was a sissy failure. He and others sucked up, slobbered over Hispanic voters, spoke at length in Spanish. Great.
They all tried to make an impact statement and mostly went too far, too overbearing in the moment, with gigantic non factual statements to change the world.
It was rigged for Warren, she got "the chosen one treatment" at least for the night IMO. Gabbard said some good stuff but has no chance.
Moderators did way too much talking.
Booker tried to dominate with his loud forceful approach.
Warren effectively says things that are generically appealing to dumb voters who do not understand the details. She is clearly #1 in that group coming out of the debate last night.
Tonight will be fascinating, will they gang tackle Biden? Will they also go after Bernie? Will they favor someone like Harris? These things will happen.

I watched maybe 30 min of it last nite. Too many candidates were talking nonsense and saying useless crap just to get votes.

I actually liked what Delaney had to say as it actually made sense (he's not crazy liberal which i like)

didn't watch. i did see a CNN recap that mentioned 9 of the 10 candidates and did not mention Tulsi Gabbard's participation. i guess that tells you how well she's liked by the MSM

politico noted that the AA population was almost completely ignored except for one candidate, who I had never heard of, saying that we need to be discussing black transgenders more often.

libertarians are pushing for her but I really don't understand why. the only libertarian ideal she holds is her anti-intervention foreign policy. other that that she's all strongly left wing...pro taxpayer funded abortions, pro medicare for all, pro free monthly income, free college, etc, etc. Her service and foreign policy earns her top billing among a group of complete nutters, fwiw

the words map was a surprise ... i'd have figured that they would have given Beto and Warren the lion's share of time but it was Booker that came in #1

well i think it's "don't be a fucking retard"

i just HAD TO look up tonight's lineup. Looks like they made this one the heavier debate as I only don't recognize bennet, hickenlooper, and williamson. My guess is that Yang will be tonight's Tulsi and narrow the field to him, her, biden, beto, warren, harris, bernie, and maybe south bend shithole mayor pete

Former Vice President Joe Biden
Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo.
South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.
Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.
Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif.
Author Marianne Williamson
Entrepreneur Andrew Yang

Don't think non-intervention FP is even much of a contrarian view anymore, atleast at the moment. Trump said Bush lied us into Iraq on stage at the debate in South Carolina and then crushed the primary there. He's been pretty steadfast in his opposition to nation building. Pretty much all the candidates are against no new nation building now so it isn't really something you're gonna get much headway off of. A few nice soundbites, sure.

And Americans care less and less about foreign policy right now as cultural/domesic issues take precedence.

As far as no AA pandering goes, it is a debate on 6/25, it isn't really for average voters. It is mostly for diehards/junkies/donors
