World Series Winner. Phillies +160.00. 6 units to Win 960.00

Friday October 28th

GM#1. Phillies +140 over Astro's. 4 units

Verlander struck out 10 of 15 Philly batters he faced back on Oct 4th. Stro's won 10-.0. ML back then was -220. Suarez was the starting pitcher for Philly. He gave up 5 runs in the first inning.

Astros sweep of Yankees was mostly because Yankees were hitting 184 against Indians in series before Houston. Yankees were a fraction of who they were early in the year. Astors didn't score a whole lot. Games were all tight.
Phillies are on a mission now. They have several good Clutch hitters. Something that CLE and NY lacked. Confidence is soaring.

I dont believe that Verlander will be able to do what he did last time he faced them.
Going against Nola or Wheeler is much different than going against Suarez.

Phillies road games were impressive in the playoffs. Especially against Braves, Going 3-1 against Atlanta was very impressive.
Houston didn't face any team that was as good as Atlanta or Cardinals in playoffs.
Wheeler and Nola are as good or better than McKenzie and Quantrill who both shut down the Astros for Cleveland to 1 run total in 2 games.
My plays are based on these 2 solid starters for Philly. Wheeler and Nola.

Verlander beat the Indians with Plesac starting for CLE.
He was -175 against Cleve. (in CLE). Now he's home against Wheeler and opened at -160?
His lowest ML all year was -170 home against Arizona. Houston Lost.
Nola beat Houston 3-0 Oct 3rd. he will probably start Saturday in game 2.

Gman. Respect your opinion, but if Altuve gets back into half of what he's capable of, we'll see a bullet train in Stros. That bullpen is decent and we're undefeated thus far in spite of Altuve's struggle. Of course I'm a homer.

History in the making 4-0.

Astors facing Nola in game 1 should produce a win for Philly.
Nola has been outstanding on 6 days rest.
He lost his last start to SD on 5 days rest but before that game he was superb against Atlanta, St.Louis and Houston. He allowed zero earned runs in all three starts going 19.1 innings!.

Looks like under is a lock if game plays out as is on paper. Not many do so I would play Houston scoring in 1st and over for game. When I saw -160 I thought Verlander may not pitch game one but is so that Number is low especially with Verlander striking out 10 of 15 Phillies on the 4th? Looking for runners and if Houston doesn't strand them over it will be for the game and the series in 4. Houston BP is the advantage...

He picked the wrong time to get cold. he hit only 188 in yankee playoffs?
Nola held him hitless. when Phi played them Oct 3rd.

The Indians beat them twice in the 4game series with the better starting pitching in those wins. Have to put Nola in there with that ability.
Verlander is rock solid but if they get to him early they win. He has been known to struggle until the 3rd or 4th innings until he gets loose.
Should be a great game if both pitchers are in a grove.

Thanks for the feedback.

Would agree.
Under 6.5 runs is 3-2 last 5 lined at 6.5. Also phillies are 6-4 over last 10.

VERLANDER is 0-6 in WS starts
Line looks low especially how Houston hasn't lost a game in the playoffs.
philly is the Cinderella team they have the hitters to get to VERLANDER but Astros are a great team also. Should be a fun WS

I knew that about Verlander. Also Manager Dusty Baker has never won a World Series.
He has the most wins in history in the playoffs without a WS Trophy.
