My impression of Kershaw's career was that he was bad during the playoffs. And, he looked like the Wolverine in that movie Logan.

My Boy Bieber was fantastic when with Cle. He isnt back to that level yet.
His rehab after the surgery was short to say the least. He didnt "Bounce back" as fast as some expected.
His dominance with every pitch doesnt last more than 3-4 innings. He has given up 2 earned runs in all of his last 5 starts.
His PIP is elevated from his usual low 12-13 PIP . He did have a good game vs Seattle where his PIP was 14.7, but every other in his last 4 was high with 18-20.
The play is more against the Jays, as I dont think Shane can go more than 4 innings.
Ohtani faced Toronto 3 times. All with the Angels in 2021 and 2022..
His recent dominance is evident and the ML is well worth it with this matchup of these two pitchers.

If Ohtani pitches like his last 3 starts, its under 8, because he went 6 innings in every start. He shut out MIL, gave up 3 runs to PHI, shut out AZ.
But the LAD pen wasnt all healthy and 1 pushed on 9 - won under 8 - and won over 7. So its 1-1-1 on the last three.
The best part of Ohtani' last 5 games, is he allowed ZERO Hr's. His era at home all games included is 1.33 with an insane 0.74 whip.
Both pens were extended yesterday with the 18 inning game. They could struggle.? They Key here is Ohtani going 6 innings or more.
The first half total is 4. It was opened @ 4.5.
Its more likely that both teams score more in later innings - as they were the two highest scoring teams in baseball from the 7th inning on all year!
Id say under first 5innings especailly if you can buy a half point to 4.5.

If you don't watch games in L.A. often, you cannot appreciate the impact of the marine layer. Local universities have tried to quantify this effect. I'd guess around 25-30 foot decrease on fly balls. 90 degrees today = no marine layer, so I'm expecting hrs tonight. Springer likely out. Bieber bigger ?-mark than Ohtani. I like the dodgers tonite. Tor's play will tell us how much grit they have. They are looking at Snell and Yamamoto in next 2. So this is a critical game for them
