Penn State +2 over Notre Dame. 15 units

A better balanced offense by Penn State. Especially the passing game. The PSU run defense (3.07 rush/avg) is the 2nd best of the remaining Bowlers. Only Ohio State is better (2.72).
Lets not forget the PSU loss at Oregon. PSU outgainned the Ducks by 518-466. The reason they lost 37-45 was on 2 turnovers.

Notre Dame wont be able to score without running the ball effectively and if last weeks game isn't a perfect validation vs Georgia with a backup Georgia QB - then I don't know what other game can be a comparison. They wont be facing a back up QB this week. ND only scored 23 points!
The Irish has a below average passing game. Versus bowlers that average only 178 yds per game. Against Georgia last week they were pathetic with only 80 yds passing!
Once they get behind - the run game will be useless. Penn State can shut it down. Just ask Boise (2.7 yds per rush). Boise had the #6 rushing offense in the Nation @ 251 yds per game.

Ohio State -6 over Texas. 20 units

The Texas defense will never be able to shut down the Buckeyes passing dominance.
Texas got here facing an ASU team who allowed two blown coverage TD's in two minutes.
ASU actually had more 1st downs (29-17), more rushing yards( by far(214-53) and was able to put up 298 passing yards against Texas' 322. . On the field Texas was dominated. Buckeyes will crush them.
OSU had 8 sacks against Oregon last week. Texas is in trouble.

Note:
Of the final 8 playoff teems ASU had the lowest scoring and ranked on offense vs Bowlers.
The Texas defense is the worst of all playoff teams allowing 28pts per game vs playoff teams.
Their regular season record of 14 points allowed per game is completely false. They played no one ranked, other than Georgia (x2), Clemson and ASU going 2-2..

Allar scares me, if PS gets that running game going w Singleton/Allen, they can't put Allar in 3rd and long situations

Just wondering how this is relates as a backup QB doesn't play defense?

Keep wondering. Obviously there was too much information posted for you to understand what I said.

Allar is successful regardless of the run game. His TD/Int ratio (24-7) is great especially Against winning teams. More important - is the PSU defense.

ND hasn't faced one solid defense all year other than Georgia (Ranked #18).
Even as Georgia faced them without a starting offense, missing Beck and 3 O-line men, they only managed 23 points.
PSU is ranked # 5 overall defensively in points allowed and # 4 in yards allowed per game.

To re-emphasize the Notre Dame defense, not being as good as their numbers, - a backup QB rolled up 234 yards which was clearly because the run game vanished with the 3 starting O-linemen out for Georgia.
Georgia had only 62 yds rushing.
PSU won't have that problem.

Notre Dame was held to a season LOW of 234 total yards on offense and only 14 first downs vs Georgia. Thats half of their game average of 422 yds all season!
The 2 Georgia turnovers didnt help Ga either.

In the last game of the season, USC passed for 360 yds on Notre Dame.
That's what exposed the ND defense. Just a bad day for Georgia to be out of linemen to balance their attack.

I love Penn St, I've got an IMGFOOTBALL kid (#13 Allen) pounding the rock

Holy shit Buddy.....that's a lot of units. Is that because it's the annual ending to the season or do you feel THAT strongly about them?

I still can't believe ND won. That game seemed fishy to me looked like penn st had it won but let ND back in it every time. In a game that big a coach just sits on sideline and laughs!!! when they called the pass interference in the end zone?

Lets cash Ohio ST...

ND was either tied or up most of the second half

PSU did look great in the first half.

We lost the Penn State game when the PSU DB fell down and ND scored on a 52 yards pass with 4 minutes to go with PSU up 24-17.

Hard to believe that two BIG 10 teams would be in the Championship game?
