4 some reason, this game is jumping out at me from the board. Took FSU -6 as I believe they will dominate an inferior Ga St team. Also took Xavier -3 as all the top service plays have it big today.
Any opinions?

GAME NOTES: The Florida State Seminoles will try to continue their dominance over the Georgia State Panthers when the two teams collide on the hardwood this afternoon at the GSU Sports Arena. Florida State has won all five meetings against Georgia State, including a convincing, 78-48 victory this past season. The Seminoles head into this matchup on fire, as the team has opened the new campaign with eight wins in their first nine games. The last time FSU was in action, the team defeated in-state rival Florida in thrilling fashion, 57-55. After this contest the Seminoles will return home for five of their next six games. As for the Panthers, they snapped a three-game losing skid with a convincing, 68-46 win over UNC-Wilmington. The Panthers posted just a 6-8 ledger at home this past season, and have also struggled at home this year, opening with just a 1-2 mark at the GSU Sports Arena.
The Seminoles' strong start to the season can be attributed to the team's tenacious defensive efforts. Florida State is currently limiting the opposition to just 63.6 ppg, and an equally poor 37.9 percent shooting effort. At the other end of the court the team is being paced by Toney Douglas, who is averaging 17.3 ppg. Douglas has done more than just score, as the guard is also posting 4.2 rpg to go along with 27 assists and 21 steals. Unfortunately no one else on the roster is producing double-figures, as Uche Echefu is second on the squad with just 9.8 ppg. In the team's recent win over Florida, the Seminoles once again relied on their relentless defensive, holding the Gators to just 55 points on 39.2 percent shooting. At the other end of the court the team overcame a slow night from Douglas, as Ryan Reid led the way with 13 points. Jordan DeMercy added 12 points, while Solomon Alabi tallied 11 points to go along with eight boards. As for Douglas, he finished with just two points on a 1-of-9 showing from the field.
Inconsistent play at the offensive end of the floor is the main reason for GSU's slow start, as the Panthers are averaging just 66.8 ppg, while shooting a pedestrian 42.4 percent from the floor. Joe Dukes has been the top option on the court, netting 15.5 ppg, while also grabbing a team-high 5.6 rpg and dishing out 44 assists. Trae Goldston is posting 12.8 ppg, while Leonard Mendez rounds out the double-figures performers with 11.1 ppg. Surprisingly the Panthers put forth a strong offensive showing in their recent win over UNC-Wilmington, shooting 49.1 percent from the floor, while also netting 10- of-25 attempts from long range. Goldston led the way in the victory with 20 points, while Trey Hampton posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards. Dukes had a strong performance as well, netting 11 points to go along with nine caroms and six assists.
The Panthers' inconsistent play at the offensive end of the floor will play right into the hands of a fierce Florida State team that has put forth a terrific defensive display this year. Expect the Seminoles to continue their dominance over Georgia State.
