However, they have only reached that century mark in only 5 other games in their entire season. This is a offense that doesnt get too many fast break points and a team that plays defense pretty well holding teams to a 93 point average.
NJ has been inconsistent. They are coming off a win on a last second shot, but havent won back to back games since the beginning of december. They have lost 5 of their last 6 games at home, breaking a 100 in half those games. Defensively, they allow over 100 points, but luckily for them, is playing a weak offensively charlotte squad. Both teams have had time to rest and work on things, so I see this game as a defensive struggle and well under the 192 posted total.

Houston is coming off a loss to one of the elite teams in the NBA. It was a hard fought game, but eventually folded at the end. Houston has only suffered back to back losses ONCE this whole season and that was back early in November. Obviously, this team bounces back quickly from a LOSS.
Houston scores an average of 98 points after a loss and allows only 89 points after a loss. Earlier in the year, Houston dominated this hornets team at home and ended up winning by 9.
NO is coming off an embarassing loss on national TV scoring only 68 points! NO has yet to lose 3 in a row, and their last 2 previous times they lost two in a row, came out scoring and reached the century mark in both those wins. Houston has allowed over 100 points in 4 of their last 10 games, and have allowed at least 91 points in 5 of the other 6 games. Houstons offense is flowing much better this season, and NO is struggling offensively as they have not reach the century mark in their last 7 games, coincidentally with 7 straight UNDERS.
They will be anxious to get back on the court after their christmas day debacle, and will look to score as many points as they can. Chris Paul struggled vs. this houston team in their first matchup, but look for him to take control of the offense. Both teams should score easily in the 90s with one team possibly reaching the 100 point mark.
