I'd like to thank everyone here. Long before I was here you guys were winning. The J2 Fade Institute was winning. Don Marco of Sports was winning. Irish was winning. Sea was winning. Panther was another winner to name a few. DickyW's been giving out book info for as long as I've been here and he's been winning with some nice ML dogs. Lastly I set up a complaint thread today. Keep all complaints there. That way this thread will contain capping info only.

Ahem....anyway let me lead off again today. We will look to the NBA for the McPlay of the day. Phoenix +2 over Toronto. Always an adventure when you are basically counting on a road team to win in the NBA. Both teams playing poorly and both teams still with some key injuries. Carter is always a force especially at home but has only averaged 14 points in his last couple games. Risky play but I think the talent is much superior on this Suns team. In addition I understand my man Gugliota is due to suit up tonight for the first time in a long while. I am sure he will be rusty but wouldn't surprise me if the team gets a lift one way or another from him returning. No guarantees we are on the right side of this one but I think we have a shot boys.

buffalo won last two home games against the habs and against new york.


islanders +.5 <-130>

colorado only 1-4 ats without rest.

both teams hot lately, both su and ats, and thats the reason i will take the half puck. otherwise, i would go with the moneyline.

islanders 10-3 in last 13 home games, outscoring the opponents 18:8 in last 4 at home.

avalanche playing in that very taugh spot which is playing with no rest after playing against the pens. 1-13 ats this season, with ottawa beating the oilers the other night being the only win for teams in this spot.

road teams are 0-12 ats in this spot this season.

i will probably add a couple of nba plays if i find some time during the day tomorrow.

first off all, these two teams haven't met in a while and they don't know know each other very well.

yes, the scouting is done for this type of matchups as well, but i stil think that both teams will start this game in a more conservative fashion.

last time they met, suns were not as good and raptors were not as bad as they are now.

suns are coming to toronto after a six game home stand where they scored (and allowed) 100+ pts in 5 of these 6 games. they also played on 2+ days rest in 3 of last 4 games.

now they are on the road after a while and they play with a single day of rest, which is something different for them, and that usually means that the pace of the game will change.

toronto, on the other side, plays its 5th straight home game and they scored and allowed 100+ pts only in one game on this current home stand, against gst in OT.

their momentum and pace of the game should remain the same here.

both teams totals are around 187 pts when playing with 1 day of rest.

unlike the majority of nba teams, toronto plays low scoring games after facing detroit.

10-3 under in last 13 and 7-3 under in last 10 at home.

since carter's return, toronto is trying to commit to the inside game and so far they are doing it well.

phoenix is more an inside team so far this season, mostly because their 3pt shooting sucked all the way.

toronto #25 in nba 3pt %
phoenix #22 in nba 3pt %

toronto forced only 4(!) turnovers against detroit in their last game and that has been adressed in the locker room for sure.

toronto after forcing 10- to is now 10-5 under and 5-1 under at home.

195.5 looks just too many points here.

i expect this one to finish in the 177-187 pts range.

Small play tonight on the DET/MIN OVER 185.

Tough to bet the over on Detroit, as they've reeled off 7 unders in a row, but I feel this number is low, because of that fact, coupled with Minny's pedestrian showing in Denver two nights ago.

Minnesota scored at least 97 in each of the 11 games prior to Denver, and they should approach that number again. The Wolves are one of the best passing teams in the game, averaging 27 assists in home games, and shoot 3's at almost 40% at home. With the trade deadline passed (and KG still around) they can focus on basketball again.

Det 5-1 Over as road dog 3'-6
Minny 8-2 Over as home fav 3'-6.
Det, Minny combined 14-6 Over on Friday.

Detroit suffocates inferior teams defensively going 11-23 under as a fave. But in games as dogs they are 11-6 over. Of the seven consecutive unders they've put up, six were against teams below 500. They'll have to score to win this one.
