Just one for now. Trying to make up yesterday's net losses with one large bet.

Washington -2.5 $4,450/$4,045.45

Clippers have been doing well on their road trip, winning 3 of 4 so far. However, this is going to be their 5th road game in 7 days and that kind of travel will wear down any team. The Clippers managed to get wins on the road against Boston, Atlanta, and Orlando - none of whom are that strong at home. The Wizards are a decent team at home, keeping games close (a key to beating a road weary team) and having already some solid wins against some good teams in the past month against teams like Phoenix, Indiana, and Seattle.

The Boston game is still in question, being down 5 going into the 4th. The Celts had a disastrous 2nd quarter as they had a close game before going into the half down 15. I decided to lay most of my winnings from the Washington game on this following play. GLTA

Sacramento Kings -5 $5500/$5000

No write-up...sorry!

It's official, I'm gonna put the rest of my bankroll on this half. Have a good feeling about the Kings gaining momentum going into the half.

Sacramento 2nd Half -4.5 $2996/$2723.63

Even with Peja getting into some foul trouble, it shouldn't make too much of a difference since he was not shooting that well in the first half. Hopefully the rest of the Kings can pick up the slack and the win. Looking for Bobby Jackson to have a nice second half. GLTA

Gulp...not looking very good for the Kings with the clock winding down. Perhaps shouldn't have chased my bet and put so much on one game, but I guess that's the price you pay when you play with little self control. If Sac-town doesn't pull this game off, then I will be gone for a while....be back in a couple of weeks.

if you really bet the kings for 5 grand at -5 why didnt you hedge at halftime and take the spurs +5 ?

If I hedged at halftime, then a Kings win by 2, 3, or 4 points would mean that both bets would lose. In my mind, it is not hedging if you have the possibility of losing both bets...the point of hedging to to guarantee some money coming back. Although it would have worked out that way to take the SPurs and the points in the second half, I believed that the Kings were going to make a comeback.
