FRIDAY PLAYS!
Carolina Hurricanes ML +130
- It is very tempting to take the Devils here as the NJ Devils are unbeaten in 5 games going 4-0-1, and an impressive 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. However, this is a home-and-home series with the Hurricanes playing at the RCB centre first, and grabbing the Hurricanes as dogs (plus money) at home with a game versus the Devils in NJ on Saturday sounds very tempting. The Hurricanes play fairly descent against the Devils winning the last 4 meetings (2 of the meetings was a 2-1 and 3-1 Hurricanes win in October). The Hurricanes are a dreadful 1-8-1 in their last 10 and have not won a game since January 4th. Seems like a trap play here if I take the Devils, thus, I'll take the 'Canes to break out of the slump in Raleigh after getting shutout by the Penguins.

Atlanta Thrashers +0.5 (+100) over the Boston Bruins. The addition of Bob Hartley will definitely motivate this Thrasher team as they sneaked out a win versus the Habs a couple days ago with the sensational performance of Nurminem. The Bruins are horrible, they have only 1 win in their last 8 games going 2-8-0 in their last 10. Nevertheless, the Atlanta Thrashers slowly have improved going 3-1-1 in their last 5 games. The Thrashers appear to be heading in the right direction while the Bruins appear to be falling faster than a sack of potatoes.

Adding:

Vancouver Canucks ML +135
- Hawks should be the play here, however, my heart says the Canucks might come out to play and make this interesting....who knows...can't pass up +135 on a top road team like the 'Nucks..Although its a back-to-back situation, hopefully they can win just like Detroit.
