8-6 YTD
Thursday (pending) games, as posted last night:
Arizona -22
A.Fairbanks +9
Utah State -5
Friday:
SEMST +8½
Bradley lost 5 of their top 6 scorers from last year, and their remaining scorers from last year are mostly Sophomores. This is a team that played in many close games last year. 11 of their 15 wins last season were decided by single digits. SEMST returns 5 of their top 7 scorers from last year, including #1 and #2, and all 5 guys are Seniors. 10 of their 16 losses last year were decided by 10 pts or less. I have a feeling that these two teams will go in opposite directions this year.
Harvard +24½
Harvard is my early pick for the most improved team in Ivy league this year. They were bad last year, but they were very young, and inexperienced. This year Harvard is one of the most experienced Ivy teams. They return everyone from last year and they should improve on their 4-23 record from last year. Notre Dame is, well, Notre Dame. You can make them favored by 10 pts against Duke or Wake, and you'll stil have some action on them. Their preseason schedule included St.Jos.-Ind and Quincy, and ND beat them by 16 pts on average. Not impressive at all.
More plays later tonight.
Good luck,
WS
