RECORD YTD 39-21 (.650)
SIDES 27-14 (.658)
TOTALS 12-7 (.631)

Portland/Atlanta went UNDER last night. A winner here.

Clippers the team with the least amount of road games takes to the road to face Miami. Miami already beat the Clips on 1/16 in LA and look to make it 2 in a row tonight. Miami is 9-1 as a home favorite and has gone 7-3 ATS the last 10 at home. Miami winning their home games as the favorite by 8.

Clippers are 6-9 ATS as an away dog and lose their games by 8.

Miami got rookie sensation D. Wade back last game. Miami most likely will be without the services of starting center B. Grant.

Miami weakness; Offense vs Clipper weakness; Defense. Advantage: Miami. Clipper strenght; Offense vs Miami strenght; Defense. Advantage: I say Miami.

X factor: Home cooking

MIAMI-4 Overnight.

Wanted to add, that home cooking is always a little stronger on Friday and Saturday, (people are off work for the weekend, like to drink beers and get a little crazier at the game supporting the home team. If you've been to a Tuesday night game and then you go to a game on Friday then you know what mean. Fridays are more electric.).

Miami 11-4 ATS in Jan. Clips 6-8 ATS in Jan.

Lamar still wants to make a statement vs his old team. He was 3-12 last meeting. Odom grabbed 15 rebounds.

Miami also has South Beach which apparently the Houston Rockets took full advantage of when then were down here on Sunday night. Patrick Ewing took a bunch of his players out and they were spotted partying till the wee hours the night before the game. The result was a Houston loss at Miami the next night.

Occam-Good luck buddy. That's the one I like most tonight as well. Heat have been really tough at home, seems like they do play a little better as a dog though. Hopefully they pump it up tonight.

Occam,

I am sorry to post in this Forum, I know absolutely nothing about Basketball but I just wanted to tell you about how I feel after being on the RX for a season.
I decided to share my thoughts on the net as I do a lot of work on the NFL and have been successful for many years. This year was also successful, posting 10-0-1, I had 6 other bets that went 3-3 that I didn’t post. It appears to me, people are more interested in crap talk and somebody’s game of the year than common sense.
Although you posted a losing year in NFL (sorry for mentioning it) it was obvious you knew what you were taking about and it annoyed me that people couldn’t see this and even questioned you. All this made me feel, why bother, this place is full of idiots.

After seeing you get just acclaim in this Forum and posters like Sixth Sense and others flying the flag, it changes my mind. If you can put up with the shit, maybe I should carry on posting.

Once again, sorry for posting in such a successful thread, I might even start betting Basketball with your know-how. Hope you have a good season, in fact, I know you will. See you next year in the NFL.

"Lamar Odom’s 25 points and 14 rebounds led the Miami Heat to a 97-88 victory over the Clippers."

"His effort is very high when he plays them (the Clippers)," Miami coach Stan Van Gundy said. "He has done it with effort and blue-collar work. They (the Clipper organization) questioned him out there and I think he wanted to show what he was made of. Lamar was rock-solid going down the stretch in tonight's game." NBA.com

Miami went to the free throw line 34 times compared to 21 for the Clippers. That was the difference in the game. Home cooking or as a cynic would say,” Effing refs always call it for the home team.”

OR, Thanks for the winner. It helped turn a losing night into a winning one. Looked shaky early, but I didn't worry.

Congrats

Winbet thanks for the kind words. To busy Capping to pay attention to others. I'm human, dismal start in the NFL led me to focus on the NBA and the results speak for themselves, Doing allright in the NBA, and without confidence I sucked in the NFL didnt apply myself. Took the Dog in the Superbowl last year with TB. Will do the same this year with Carolina. Defenses keep it close.

Keep it going Occam. The Heat was my biggest play of the night as well. Thanks for posting and bringing more winners my way.
