Trump was impeached because he got trounced in the election and tried everything in his power to overturn it / become a Dictator and then when all the lying, cheating, and stealing didn’t work, his last ditch effort was to incite a terrorist attack at the Capitol.
McConnell rushed through an unqualifed Supreme Court Justice in a complete sham — certainly a domestic terrorist attack committed at the Capitol deserved being hashed out in the Senate faster than 2-3 weeks after Trump left office but McConnell wouldn’t allow it.
