Watching some Fox News here, they just put up a poll that said 47% blame Obama for the way he handled the debt-ceiling debate, 66% blamed congressional democrats, and what a surprise 72% believe Congressional Republican's were at fault for the way they handled the debt-ceiling debate.

And surprisingly most of the panel agreed that the Tea Party hurt their chances by the way they handled the debate.

One Republican even said something that makes sense! Unbelievable!!

“Cutting spending is important, but getting people back to work is more important,” said Diane Sherrell, 56, a Republican from Erwin, N.C. “If people are working, they are more productive. There is less crime, there is less depression, there is less divorce. There are less hospital and medical bills. If you put people back to work, you are cutting spending.”
Another Republican strikingly said something of intelligence also

Stanley Oland, 62, a Republican from Kalispell, Mont., said that the government needed new jobs to generate the economic activity and the revenue it requires.
“That revenue supports the basic foundation for the economy, creates more jobs and stimulates the economy,” he said. “Unless you have working people you don’t have revenue from taxes. If you cut spending, jobs will be eliminated and you won’t get any revenue. Every dollar spent creates jobs.”
Looks like Obama came out ahead of this debt-ceiling debate. As much as you guys despise Obama, it looks like the country despises Republican's even more. Instead of focusing on creating jobs the Tea Party is hellbent on destroying even more jobs. And most moderate Republican's can see right through it.

Not a good sign for the Tea Party. But to be honest, I didn't give them much of a chance any ways. Tea Party governors have some of the lowest ratings of all Governors in the United States. I guess when you go out of your way to destroy American jobs, people don't think to highly of you!

Obama wanted a 'clean raising' of the debt ceiling. If that had happened the US would be 2 trillion more in debt in 10 years if the 'tea party' didn't quash BO's plan for the future.

If BO was left to his own devices America would have been downgraded even further maybe to A.
Realize this, before Obama gummed up the works the word trillion was mostly used when discussing astrology

After all the damage BO has done seeing his approval rating still at 40% is evidence of an unidentified mental illness in this country that must be addressed.

Great. Find me one single person anywhere on this planet who identifies with the Tea Party and says getting people back to work is a bad idea. I really don't know what point is made above that hasn't already been made on here by just about everyone. It's almost like you're arguing against yourself. The one inaccuracy is you aren't cutting spending by increasing tax revenue...you're just increasing revenue, which means the members of Congress will line up to voice their ideas about the best ways to blow it.

And what's the best way to "generate new economic activity"? It's getting the giant obstacle known as government to stay the fuck out of the way of productivity. That means getting rid of the oppressive taxes and regulations that are imposed on businesses now. It's just too costly and time consuming for business owners to consider expansion under this goon we have in the White House.

One thing Stanley failed to point out was private sector jobs are the ones which generate the most revenue. Today, a decent percentage of government jobs - if not divisions - could probably be eliminated, and nobody would even notice. The same can't be said for the private sector.

Great. Hope they keep spewing all this liberal banter right up until election day. Keep the one trick pony voters at home.

The point was it was used on Fox News and the panel of commentators agreed with the polling results. I understand NYT is a liberal newsprint. The point was the discussion coming from a brainwashing conservative network.

How can the results of a poll end up with responses totalling 185%?

The poll consists of individual questions. It isn't pick one answer or the other. People can say that Obama, Republican's, and Democrat's are all to blame.

A quote from Major League, “Who are these fucking guys”?

Well it’s obvious, Diane and Stanley are masters of the incredibly obvious.
