ObamaCare, doing just fine:

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — The hunt for the uninsured in Broward County got underway one recent afternoon when 41 canvassers, armed with electronic maps on Samsung tablets, set off through working-class neighborhoods to peddle the Affordable Care Act door to door. Four hours later, they had made contact with 2,623 residents and signed up exactly 25 people.

Many of their targets, people identified on sophisticated computer lists generated in Washington as unlikely to have health insurance, had moved away. Some were not home. Many said they already had insurance through Medicare, their parents or a job. A few were hostile at the mere mention of President Obama’s health care law.

“We’re going to repeal that,” one man said gruffly as he shut the door in the face of a canvasser, Nancy Morwin, 58, a retired social worker.

I read the article and much didn't make sense. It's a broke county, with poverty, and uninsured people. So I dug into this a little bit more and this is the REAL STORY the Story that makes the most sense. The article in the thread is an opinion of a staunch right winger, citing FOX Business as her informational source. In fact from reading my link looks like Georgia Republicans did what they could to put blame on ACA. In any event its probably not financially smart to have a 25 bed emergent care hospital in a rural area with low income and uninsured customers. Not an ideal way to keep in business but you right wing nuts can just keep on believing it was the ACA.

Well they didn't come out and say it, but I believe they knew their rejection would pass blame onto the ACA

You realize that you're claiming having a rural emergency care hospital is a bad business model and then blaming Republicans for not expanding Medicaid to pay for it, right?

What about the other 3, did right wing nuts cause those to close also?

No I'm not blaming them for not paying for it, I am debunking the fact that is was the ACA that caused it.

Tell that to the people living in that area.

So the government "planners" thousands of miles away in a large capital get to decide what is "financially smart" and what isn't for every rural community?

Ugh.

Yes the government who ultimately decided that was the republican governor, they decided not to fund it because it was a bad business model. Nothing the ACA did here. It was the Right who decided. You should write the Governor of Georgia

Obviously lies and the author of this article is obviously a lunatic.

You still wanna argue that there are people in hospitals that don't despise Obamacare?

I take that back, there is ONE RN that thinks ACA is a good idea...her answer when I asked he why was "So that everybody can have insurance".

Wow, I didn't even reply and said "good point" as my stomach curled in disgust that someone I work with can be so blind, stupid and partisan to actually believe that this is the intent of Obamacare.

You were so sure the ACA had no impact on 1 hospital that I asked about the other 3. Deflect is your middle name.

No I told you I will look that up when I have time, figure I will need about 45 minutes. I don't have that now, you said "real story my ass." If you read my link it tells you about this one hospital. I promise I'll report my findings tonight at some point
