I think GB is the play. They come with the A game and it's in the books.

I have to go with GB in this game. This team underachieved during the regular season to finish at 10-6. Favre's thumb is healthier than it's been since he broke it in St.Louis. He practiced without the splint this week. How scary is it that with half a hand, this guy led the league in TD passes and completed 65% of his passes? Green Bay will beat the 'Hawks by at least 10. Lou is throwing around a trend about teams with a RB who rushes for more than 1850 ypg. I understand the stat and I interpet it to mean that a team with an un balanced offense does not do well in the playoffs and doesn't win the SB. GB doesn't have an unbalanced offense. It is simply a dangerous one. How does a team approach it? GB's Ground game is close to unstoppable. There's no way that a team can put 8 men in against it because Favre will chew them apart and you can't play with a nickel because Green will rush for 5 YPC on it. I don't see how Seattle covers this game, much less wins it.

I have to say I'm glad to see Farve make it to the playoffs again. He's always been a gamer & and class act.
The Packers have had a tremendous Dec. run which was well deserved (back door entry & all). What makes the play on the Packers unatractive to me is giving up this many points, plus the amount energy expended getting here.. I've seen many times where a team goes into the playoffs like gangbusters, only to fizzle out once they get there.

Not real strong on either side here, but I did take a shot with Seattle +7.5 on a 4T wildcard parlay:

Titans +.5
Bal/Ten UN 39.5
Panthers -2.5
Seahawks +7.5

I guess the real question is when the Pack runs out of gas.?

As of now I'm passing on the straight play.

Green bay simply looks too easy here. They may get there, but I think seattle and Holmgren will be ultra game here. Take the 7 points.

This game is going to be ball control all the way. Both teams will run the ball with success. I can't see Holmgren taking any chances here and the same can be said with Sherman. It's going to be the Green and Alexander show and the under is looking good. Still not impressed with Packer secondary and Al Harris is a joke. I think 7 is too much but will wait closer to game time to get a better number here in the Frozen Tundra

Good Luck....

Ripper are you going to hedge that parlay? I see you got 3 legs out of 4.

Faco,
I've seriosly considered it.
I accually have two live 4Teamers going on their last leg today..The other one is posted in the college forum..
Parlays aren't not a way of life for me but I couldn't resist playing them last weekend when I was at Reno. So far it's been golden..

This is the position I hoped to be in, so I decided to gamble since I'm in the black, and its in my blood!

RIPPER,

Buy a little GB -6.5 for a possible middle, just a litle. I have a similar one with two legs home in Tenn pk, Car -2.5; last two are Denv +4.5 (buy 1.5), and Sea +7.5 and I am considering strongly Indy -2.5 as an early hedge and possible middle.

Islander,
That is a very sound strategy you mentioned. I recall hitting a forth leg reverse parlay at the Stardust on a ties win card vs a ties don’t win card and ended up hitting both sides. Great feeling!
There is another parlay system where you straight play against your selections as you go. This requires selecting teams that start games at different times, but lowers your potential profit margin when you’re hot. As I recall, there is a specific percentage amount required to straight bet that increases as you get closer to the forth leg. I’ll post the specifics of this system later when I get the info in front of me.
As for now… I’ve done well enough getting to this point.... Decided to let these fly on their own.

Your card looks very good. Hope you hit!
