This is my first true write up on a bowl game this season. Mostly I have been just adding my two cents on other write ups. I have a strong play on this game, and I wanted to share it with everyone that has been so helpful up to this point.

Many people feel that TCU has something to prove in this game. No, not really. They were crushed on national TV and came up as pretenders. Now it is their turn to shock the world? On the other hand, Boise State has rolled in every one of their televised games. They were over priced at the begining of the season, and failed to cover in some early games. But by the end of the year they were at it again. Last year they had one of the best records ATS, this year, not so hot. TCU was the darling of polls this year. They were ranked as high as 9th. It was a joke. So now I am going to ask the question that is on my mind: HOW and WHY were they ranked so high??!?

They played NO ONE. Their highest quality win was Lousiville. A team we all saw get crushed in their bowl game. Some can argue that So. Florida was a quality win, well not in Texas it isn't. I can still hear ESPN saying that TCU has no idea how bad Arizona was going to be when they scheduled. What a bunch of garbage. This is why we need a playoff, to expose such crappy teams and let teams like Miami(oh) and Boise St. knock out a big daddy.

TCU is overrated. Their defense is overrated. Who have they stopped? These are the teams they held under 20 points: SMU, Cin., So. Fla, Army!!, Arizona!!, and (their best win in my opinion) Vandy. A bunch of nobodies.

On the other hand Boise St. has EVERYTHING to gain by winning this game. Coach Dan Hawkins will be a saught after commodity after this game. Dimwiddle has thrown for 28 TD's and 4031 yds. Hassel from TCU has 9 TDs. Boise St., on an equally bad schedule, has racked up offensive numbers that dwarf TCU. This game has got all the hype. Dimwiddle's last game. I don't care if it is on blue turf or not. TCU is so easy to defend with their option offense of two tight ends and two running backs. They are a one dimensional rushing attack that has a decent QB that misses downfield.
I know it is a home dog, and I hate to pick against them, but this is a real DOG. They has another set of goals, and it WAS NOT to play in this bowl. It was to mess up the BCS and finish undefeated. Sorry, that didn't happen.

Boise St. will roll in this game. They win big. Lay the chalk. This team is for real, their coach is for real, and their QB is for real. TCU are pretenders as I have explained above. This may be close early, but in the second quarter Boise St. score 14 points plus. This line opened at 8, so much sharp money came in on Boise St. came in on the first days that it jumped to 11 1/2. Follow the beards on this play folks.

Don't be quick to think this one is going over the 60 either. Although I would not lay any units on it.

BOISE ST. 35
TCU 13

Wow, well said. I agree. See my words in Kojak's thread. I would love to pull the trigger on a live dog.......this is not one of them.

Excellent write-up and well thought out.

A couple of concerns that I have about Boise State that I didn't say in my thread is that I felt Dinwiddie looked less than impressive against Hawaii, which I'm sure Co-Captain might have an opinion on as well, and the weather in Fort Worth today and projected tomorrow was and is for gusty winds between 20-25 mph which will impact his effectiveness and may make the ground game more important.

All that being said, at least one of us will remain undefeated when the game is over. Good luck to you. Nice to see you are off to a good start since joining the RX.

I like Boise's D, I think it is a little undervalued as well, they have faced some pretty decent passing teams and defended them very well, I think they keep TCU pretty well in check and pull away late for the cover, because you know they never let off the gas, just ask Iowa St.

Totally agree with you. I have been on Boise St. all year and they have made me money. B. St. has an explosive offense that should be able to run over the TCU secondary. Dinwittie has an excellent feel for the offense and some great recievers to back him up (Gilligan to name one). He reminds me of Rothslenberger of Miami OH. in that he spreads the ball around the field to the recievers. This will make it very difficult for TCU to put pressure on any one area or reciever.

I am playing Boise St. @ -9 as well as a 6 pt. teaser at -3.5 with an over of 52. They will roll.

Thanks for the votes of confidence. OMT, thanks for the feedback. I am ready for kickoff. It has cooled down here in Texas today. Also, it is very windy.
