What I don't understand is how so many people think he has any clue how to get the US economy out of this funk. How is he going to deal with the first emergency. What experience does he have to draw from? His election is the personification of American politics at its best - and I can't help but feel we all we be bearing the burden of his behind the door promises that it took to get him elected.
He's easy to like but I can't stomach the way so many people (MEADIA) are kissing his ass. Give him some time and some space. Our "give it to me now" mentality has him as the greatest president ever and he's less than 24 hours into this job.
Good luck but my advice to him is to make sure he has his seat belt fastened - this may be a bumpy ride.
I don't think anyone has the correct answer how to get this economy back on track. Confidence in the American public to spend again is key. What will it take to boost confidence? No one knows. Nobody. Sure we can set timelines and all but the picture will always be grim since numbers will continue to report as south for at minimum the rest of this year. The only thing we know as fact as that there is a wide array to talent and brains as part of this administration. He's taking a bi-partisan approach to his council and decision making.
Time will tell how things turn out in 1-2 years. To say he has a full plate ahead of him is an understatement. It's massive. It's monumental. It's a full blown, global economic crisis with 2 wars to boot. One thing's for sure were all in it and considering the circumstances I can't think of anyone who wants him to fail (except for say Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh) since it affects us all. I will say this, I think theres more public confidence behind this man than say if our president were John McCain and our VP were Sarah Palin for godsake.
