I agree, but I'll go further legalize it ALL!! Why? Why not, tax the hell out of it, reduce my income taxes and everyone wins.

How can you prevent pot gardens once it is legalized? So how can you tax the hell out of it?

To hell with that Idea...it's one of hte last industries the government can't get their grubby paws on...let people grow their own and spend the profits with local businesses...

Punter your correct you couldn't tax the growers per say, but I'm assuming everyone isn't going to grow their own, therefore it would be sold. Tax it that way. Sorry wasn't clear

Not sure that will work either. You can grow all you can smoke under a grow lamp or in pots.

In answer to your second question, it would not be difficult to reasonably tax the bulk of commercial sales.

As a lifetime cannabis consumer I can confidently state that just like tobacco, probably 95% or more of cannabis users would prefer to just go and buy a pack or carton of rolled cigarettes than they would to take the time to cultivate, harvest and roll their own.
