I seem to be the only flyers fan in the hockey forum, so this might not be a big deal for everyone else, but the flyers finally got rid of lecavalier.. They traded him and Luke schenn to la for a 3rd rounder and Jordan weal... The flyers are retaining some of Vinnys salary in the deal... Luke schenn is a solid defensemen, la should be happy with this trade! It's all about dumping that salary for the flyers, that contract was one of the worst in the nhl. He wasn't breaking the flyers lineup, so they were basically paying him all that money to practice lol.. Way to go hextall, that's a major step in the right direction

Beat me to it. Very happy with this trade. Luke Schenn was drafted by the Kings, and Vinny will be a nice addition on the Kings where the pressure isn't all on him to be the guy.

It's a big deal for Kings fans too.

Actually the Kings drafted his brother Brayden Schenn, his brother. Still we needed a defensemen with Green hurt, plus Carters out with injury.

Luke's a solid defensemen in my opinion.. A lot of flyers fan bash him but that's because we gave up jvr for em. He ain't gonna get you a lot of points but he's very physical. He's a UFA after this year and we weren't resigning him, He'll work out for the Kings the rest of the season good espically if they plan on making another run at the cup which it looks like is going to happen

I've been openly bashing Schenn for years as a bust and an unuseful hockey player. First and foremost with Toronto and then with the Flyers. He's immobile, and makes bad decisions in his own end trying to bulldoze an opponent. But a trade to the Kings might bring out the best in him playing on the 3rd pairing there. NO pressure and the Kings thrive with guys just like him on their back end. Cant believe i'm going to type this but I think this will be a great trade for LA. Depending, of course on how the package going back performs too.

Lacavalier gets a point in his first game as a king on the only goal of the game! It was a pretty sweet pass to Muzzin who had all the time in the world to bury it.

This is looking like the trade of the year. Vinny got the game tying goal with 12 seconds left in the game, (4th with Kings) and Kings go on to win in OT.

Watch, He's not going to want to retire after this season now lol... The deal was based on him giving hextall his word he'll retire after this year.. Should be interesting
