Florida vs Toronto on 05/12 by Craig_Brown

The Maple Leafs staved off elimination with a 2-1 Game 4 victory and did it with a rookie goalie making his playoff debut. Toronto’s Joseph Woll turned in a solid 24-save performance and he will likely be back in net for Friday’s clash at the Scotiabank Arena.

The Panthers had an uncharacteristically stagnant offensive performance and were whistled for 26 penalty minutes to just 16 for the Leafs. One of those penalties cost the Cats a goal as William Nylander deposited the puck in the back of the net in the second period to break the scoreless tie.

I don’t see a repeat of that lackluster effort as the Panthers are normally a disciplined team that pressures their opponents and usually keeps the opposition on its heels. Florida has already defeated Toronto twice in their own barn and Friday night will be the trifecta.
