Mullen coached both Tebow & Dak
Schiano was a finalist for the Miami job

i think both were good hires. Will they be successful? No clue

Mullen is a great hire.

Schiano is a terrible choice.

mullen is the safe choice - big 5 coaching success and, in my opinion, the correct choice. he is familiar with the penal colony that he will have to coach so nothing should surprise him. in addition, he should have recruiting ties in florida from his past tenure in gainesville. i am not disappointed.

Florida has a 5* pro style qb signed for next year. Wonder if he will stay?

After watching Bama play Saturday, they need to get a QB not a RB in that position. Maybe they pull him away from UF.

I'm a UF grad and I'm not real happy w/ the hire. He was - at best - the third choice. Stricklin literally struck out. I do think he will greatly improve UF football from the last two bafoons who walked the sidelines...but he has a ceiling. I hope I'm wrong, but he's got a lot to prove. I see UF being an 8-9 win team annually, w/ the occasional 10 win season. I think Mullen stays for 8-12 years, if he's not canned. He's not getting a better gig, so that's good for long-term (Spurrier is the longest tenured UF coach at 12 years).

Again, I hope I'm wrong but I don't see a lot of championships from this guy....

Shiano already shit canned, Vols can't do anything right

What a ridiculous mess. We deserve better than Greg Shitiano. Kinda cool to see a fan base (and state legislature) veto a hire. My fear is now the AD will be fired and interim Brady Hoke has to limp his bigass through signing day. I'd rather lose an entire class then take on another clown for a coach though. nearly half of Jones Big Time recruiting classes are gone anyway what's another 10 or 15 player loss going to matter

Scary times for Vol fans this could get very ugly. We need a miracle

It's a clown show in Knoxville.

The fans are chanting "Fire Currie" and "We want Kiffin" at the basketball game tonight.

They're the laughing stock of college football right now. It's unbelievable.

I think Schiano would have been an excellent hire. He's a hell of a football coach. Tennessee fans think way too highly of their program.

Just one man's opinion who doesn't give a hoot about Tennessee.

Mack Brown, Les Miles...you get the gist.

Tennessee needs an established/proven coach to come in and right the ship.

Then he fades away with honors from the Vol faithful.

"Over the top," LMFAO!!! Yeah, they'll be over the top alright....that toboggan is gonna be screaming down the hill. Only reason Doeren didn't get fired this year is he pulled a rabbit out of his hat and managed to get the Pack into a bowl game. I could recruit better than that idiot. Good luck Vol fans, read this morning Brohm turned them down and now Doeren is on deck. Life is good for Vandy backers, LOL.

Not gonna knock any hire considering my Sun Devils are considering Herm Edwards because he will keep the coordinators who to their credit, did good jobs this year and do deserve to keep their jobs.

Dan Mullen I think is overrated as a coach, but I do think he can develop players to fit his system. But will he be able to win. The UF crossover games are gonna be LSU and another good team from the SEC West, plus FSU at the end of the year. Maybe UF will try to drop FSU and ad FAU to fit the creampuff scheduling that Miss St does. While he was 69-46 at Miss St overall, he's only 33-39 in the SEC. Most of the wins came in non-conference and remember, Miss St never played tough non conference opponents so he typically went 3-1 or 4-0.

He got run out of the building in the Orange Bowl by Ga Tech with Dak Prescott. Last year they lost to So Ala, struggled with UMass, and beat BYU in OT, and struggled with Mia-OH in the bowl.

No "considering" to it, they offered him the job this morning. Personally, I like the man, maybe all the TV analyst time will give him an improved perspective.

Doeren just said NO to Tennessee.
Don't agree they are the biggest laughing stock in CFB.
Nebraska gets blown out every game also, just as bad

Seen that Kiffin has a Twitter pic showing Kim Jong Un turned down Vols job. Wish I could attach the pic

Jim McElwain took FLA to two SEC championship games in his first 2 years. Vols should hire him. I hear he's available and knows the SEC pretty well
though I'm still not sure why FLA canned him. Maybe he did something really bad
