Dan Mullen is expected to be announced as Ms State's new head coach. Personally I think this is a horrible place to go, but it's definitely a step up.

I wonder how much this affects Florida's preperation for the BCS title game. I know many will say it won't. But believe me from the coaching changes that I've seen at OU and a few other schools, this has the potential to disrupt a team.

I think it will definitely be an issue, but more so if he leaves before the game than if he stays. It's a bad distraction any way you slice it.

The trouble is I believe the college recruiting blackout starts after the first week in January. They have to get some recruiting in for December or they'll be behind. Don't quote me on this because I'm not sure of the exact dates of recruiting. But I've heard the late starting date for the BCS title game really can be diruptive to a coach leaving a team.

I follow recruiting very closely and Mullen knows from their transition to UF that this class will suck no matter what. There's just no time to develop relationships.

What he will do is get some staffers together and they will get out and recruit while Mullen gets ready for the title game. It's being reported that Gus Malzahn will be his OC.

Now there are rumors that Charlie Strong is headed to UCF to replace OLeary. Sweet Jesus, just let OU have the damn game. F***.

very tough place to win because of the teams they are surrounded by not to mention 3 division 1 teams in their own state.

There is no way Miss State will ever overcome the trifecta of LSU, Auburn, or Alabama. Even Ole Miss is decent this year and Arkansas is sometimes good/ranked.

I haven't heard this. I heard he may hire the recently fired Bowling Green OC, Greg Brandon. He was the OC there for Meyer and Mullen was the QB coach. Not sure if he'll coach the bowl game though.

Haven't heard word on Charlie Strong. It's a good rumor, though. Until there is a firing (of O'Leary) it's a non-issue.....

OLeary will be retained at UCF meaning Strong will stay at UF.
