WASHINGTON — Despite thousands of fraud cases, the financial losses under the 2009 Recovery Act have been just a fraction of what the government expected.

Five years after President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law, investigators have proven 1,268 cases of fraud in the $840 billion stimulus program, resulting in $57 million in recovered funds.

Talk about slanted journalism. But oh, well. What's a few billion in taxpayer money pissed away? Plenty more where that came from, right?

Will dimocraps care in the least? And if those numbers are really just a fraction of what the government expected to lose, then let's see just one of them here come forward and finally admit the entire stimulus itself was a fraud...

Damn, compared to how much was lost or wasted for the Iraq war this is like the difference between Bernie Madoff and a kid stealing a candy bar, lol.

Growth over the last 18 quarters has averaged just 2.4% -- pretty shoddy compared to better than 4% growth during the Reagan recovery in the 1980s and almost 4% in the 1990s recovery.
The failure of the stimulus was a failure of the neo-Keynesian belief that economies can be jolted into action by a wave of government spending. In fact, people are smart enough to realize that every dollar poured into the economy via government spending must eventually be taken out of the productive economy in the form of taxes.

Reminder:

“Lives Touched” is a figure that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) uses to track the amount of people who have been positively affected by the Recovery Act funds. This total would include people who have been provided full time employment (i.e. saved and created jobs) through the Recovery Act and people who at some point have supported a project funded by the Recovery Act."

Big success, that "stimulus"
