Fishy line involving the Chargers?

Opening, Chargers -3 @ home against the Colts. The ways the Chargers are playing, I wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole. The Peyton Manning will disect the Chargers D in so many parts that Rivera couldn't peices them back together. The Colts D is not that all bad now that Sanders is back. The Chargers couldn't score a TD to save theiry season. So who will the public pick in this game? The high octane Colts offense or the emotionally drained Chargers D? Watch the trend and see how many people pound their money on the Colts. They probably take the Colts SU.

I'd take the Chargers -3 because I believe the line is fishy. Plus, the Chargers cover most of the times at home. I know, this is a horrible write up, if it's a write up at all. So go ahead, bash me.

The Colts are a different team now and I believe you're right in your assessment. However, I guess the lines maker is taking in the Home Field Advantage and their ability to cover. We'll see if there is any movement.

Interesting to see the Chargers favored at all in this one. If you ask me, Indy should be favored. Things to consider though: Indy on the road is an entirely different team, though the weather should be ok and wont affect too much Turf/grass will slow down an already slower Indy O.

You're right about SD being tougher at home though. I'm too lazy to look it up, but I bet their record at home (SU and ATS) is pretty good this year. Oh and if Sage Rosenfeld can throw for 200 and a TD, imagine what Rivers could do.

Bob Sanders is questionable and if he does play might not be 100% on that ankle. BOL, I'll probably end up on the Chargers in this one myself, way to early do anything about it though, I get my lines a couple hours before kickoff. BOL

The San Diego Chargers (3-6 SU, 4-5-1 ATS, 5-5 O/U). This is after the Pitts game. I was wrong about the Chargers cover most of the times at home this season. See what one shitty season can do to a fan? lol.

Given the ways the Chargers are playing currently, would you take them
-3 at home? With minial tape studying, any team in the NFL can figure what the Chargers offense will do.

Do or die for SD they are 2 games behind Den, another loss and playoffs would be tough. Also, playing at home Sun night prime time.

I am on tilt when it comes to "taking advantage" of these questionable lines. Jacksonville is the latest that failed to cover against a fishy line. I am done for now.

Colts or no play. Chargers are way too inconsistent.

Not sure of the exact numbers but teams are something like 5-18 ATS after playing Pitt the last 2 seasons.

Interesting angle, in a thread from November 1, it was noted that Steeler opponents were 4-11-1 in 2007 the week after they played the Steelers. This year, Steeler opponents are 2-7 ATS the week after the game with Pittsburgh. Winners were Jacksonville at Denver, and the Giants over Dallas. Loosers that are probably not a big surprise include, Houston, Cleveland and Cinncinnati. But following week ATS loosers also include Baltimore, Washington, Philly and Indy.

Big game for both teams, SD cannot risk going three back of Broncos who have Oakland at home this week. Indy is one of four teams in AFC that are not leading their division at 6-4. Peyton is getting healthier, it seems. SD is in disarray. SD 1-3 last 4, Indy won last 3.

Lean right now to Indy.

What is the mental state of the Chargers. Are they desperate for a win or do they think their season is over?

I believe jacksonville won big the week prior. Plus, they were at home, underdog. Now, the Chargers, they lost to Pittsburg last week, they're at home vs. Colts and favored. The Colts just beat the Texans by 5. Like couple posts stated, the Chargers are inconsistance at best. Yes, the Chargers own the Colts for the past 4 years, but they're not playing up to their expectations this season. They're 4-6 and the play callings are very predictable. I'll take the Chargers -3, but you could be right though.

If they lose to Indy this weekend, then it's over. As a fan, I expect them to at least make the championship game, but at this moment, we might be looking at the top 10 draft position for 2009. Norv Turner is a great OC, but has proven to be a failure at HC. I wasn't thrill when AJ hired Norv and Tedd Cottrell. And AJ Smith is an arrogant SOB.

I am a huge Chargers fan...here is my take..We have owned Indy the last few years both SU and ATS..our defense gave them fits and we can move the ball on them..That said, I can't bet money on my Chargers this year(no defense, no heart, bad coaching). I have a pretty good gauge on my teams and I don't see us winning this game. I really like the over because we can't stop anyone and we will be able to score vs Indy. Indy+3 and over are the plays IMO..gl
