Personally, I was going to side with LSU if I were to get them at -3.5 or less.................as is now.............NO PLAY!
Think the LSU quarterbacks are the types to give Iowa fits and LSU matches up well with IOWA in their secondary with the IOWA recievers.............and we know IOWA has zilch for a running game.
I made the game -5 on my personal numbers fyi.

wouldn't really say it was a wild night. but the trip to the casino boat during the upcoming bash will likely be cancelled. that's according to fish and myself.
as far as the hawks and l.s.u. goes, tough game. but you have too love points in a bowl game. and iowa has overachieved all season.:drink:

I don't think its fair to say they've overachieved. They had one of the strongest Defenses in the nation coming in and lived up to it. The offense i would say has underachieved. Last in rushing!! Never would have guessed that. Their offense still can move the ball and clock with Tate's short passing game and can hit deep for the big play. The defense has been terrific though and I look for them to keep the game close v. LSU. Love the 7 points and probably some action on ML. Look forward to the booze and Florida sunshine as well!
I really thought the Hawkeyes would be overmatched last year vs Florida, basically playing at home in Tampa at Outback. Ferentz will have the team prepared and LSU coach may be thinking about moving to the pros. Would help if one of the running backs is back. Dogs are the way to go in the bowls. Welcome to Orlando. Kyhawk....Will be in Orlando in 3 weeks. Really looking forward to this trip. I had tix last year but could not make it. Flying in from Illinois. Can't trust LSU as chalk this fall, but outside of their one hurt year in '02, they have been excellent in bowl play under Saban, while Ferentz will have his gutsy team focused as well, with only their effort vs.USC in '02 as a negative in bowls.
LSU has been winning short all year, but has one of the top 3 Defenses yet again, so Iowa needs to be on their game with the pass vs. a great run stop/pass rushing unit. And with LSU being fundamentally weak for lapses this fall with youth, expect a few wrinkles from Ferentz in trying to spread the ball around for what is working that day, with Tate throwing swing passes and intermediate routes to blunt the pass rush with some deep balls..should be a feel-out game for most of the 1st Half.
The Under is the play..specifically the 1st Half Under.
