Phoenix Mercury -4 1/2 -110 over San Antonio Silver Stars (1st half)

Well I missed Saturday night's bet because I got too busy. The WNBA's weird playoff schedule allows for some great bets on 2nd games of the series. Phoenix is a much better team than San Antonio as evidenced by Saturday night's game. When a better team gets beat on the road in the first game it usually provides incentive for the better team to go balls out, I mean, to have motivation to do really well the 2nd game.

Now the teams are knotted at 1-1 and Phoenix is home again. They have the talent and the motivation to win this one big yet again. However, I took the 1st half due to the fact that they may let up in the last couple minutes if they are ahead by 15-20 and a backdoor is possible for San Antonio to get the +9. This is the WNBA after all. I highly doubt the Stars can stay with the Mercury for the first half though.

Well this was a bust as Phoenix lets SA score 7 in a row after leading by 8 to come within 1 at halftime.

It seems like every WNBA game has a spell where no one can make a basket. These teams put up 49 in the first quarter and then got COLD. Only put up 36 in the 2nd quarter as it got very sloppy.

i thought about mercury 2h myself, but stars 4-0 in game 3's as an organization scared me off, even though mercury so good at home. gl to u. im rooting for a slugfest
