So I wake up at 3 am this morning to the sound and sights of what seemed like fireworks coming from the pitch black corner of my room.....
I *naturally* freak out and slowly get out of bed, kinda curious, kinda scared.....approach the on and off firework display and figure I had some sort of short circuit......
Thus I unplug my UPS unit and go back to bed figuring it was 3 am, not much I could do then and even if I wanted to, what could I do?
The next morning I realize it wasnt the UPS unit or the outlet in the wall, it was my monitor........
I thus take it out of my room to inspect it....I leave it on the kitchen table and hours later a horrendous smell starts to come out.....
Puzzled and bewildered and convinced that something was in that monitor that should not have been, I unscrew the monitor cover and discover a small mouse that pretty much got barbequed against some sort of "card" full of circuits and other "electrical thingies"......
I believe my monitor is now a goner and well, so is the mouse....
