Let me preface this by saying that I never had a doubt that my book would do the right thing which is why I always held out from saying anything publicly.
To say that this last week has been tense would be a huge understatement. When I logged into my acct last Saturday to check my balance I was absolutely shocked to see the balance off and my monies froze from the Finger Lakes race on Friday. At first I just sat there and said to myself that it is a mistake and they will get it graded. After 2 days I decided I would call and speak to customer service. I felt that I was obligated to let them know that they still had not graded the horse race from last Friday.
That is when they let me know that the race was under review for apparent foul play. I explained to them that I was a novice when it came to horse racing but I was willing to wait until they reached their final decision. They assured me that they would reach a decision by the end of the week after they had a chance to weigh all of the facts.
So you can imagine my surprise when I logged into my acct this morning and saw that my balance now reflected the monies from the Finger Lakes race of last Friday. I had bet a 2 – 3 exacta for 5$ which didn’t hit the board but with the race fixed I was now getting my hard earned cash back. For those of you that wonder if a book refunds on races where foul play is involved I am here to tell you that it does happen. I can now get a payout and apply this money to help me get my electricity turned back on in my trailer.
I just wanted you guys to know that there are still books out there that do the right thing.
