Finally after 2 years, I have reached a milestone here at the RX; 1000 posts. If you had asked me when I started out that I would have 1000 posts to my name and be posting after 2 years, I wouldn't have believed you.
I must say, I enjoy visiting and posting on the forums primarily to weed out scammers both on the players and sportsbooks side. I hope I have helped in some way both the sportsbooks and players in this area.
When I started out, I was mainly a players' advocate but in the last year or so I have seen the other side of the coin with sportsbooks being stiffed. For every Jeff Pearson, there are a 1000 Sick Gamblers out there.
I was recently privy to a sportsbook database. They had ran a promo for a free $25 mainly on the forums. They showed me how several people took advantage of their generosity by opening multiple accounts. In one case, one player had opened 22 accounts, yes 22 accounts for this promo. Unreal.
On the other side, there are several stiff books mainly located in unregulated environment like Costa Rica and Curacao.. Some have gone like Aces Gold, Luckys and Camelot while some are still here like Pyramid (Score sportsbook), betflamingo and Yahoops. For the life of me, I don't understand why the governments and sportsbooks that exist in these countries don't take a stand against these rogue companies.
My recommendation in choosing a book is always on safety first. For that I will always recommend books in Australia like Canbet and Betworks because of the regulation. If you choose to go the unregulated route, post up with books that have a long reputation of paying without a complaint like Olympic, Pinacle and Hollywood.
For that I have thoroughly enjoyed posting on the RX and thank the mods and owner for allowing me to do so.
