I hit another HUGE yesterday (Thursday NIT) and expect to hit this one also. My last three HUGE plays rated 6* and above have won easily. I won with 8* Illinois -10.5 covers by 22.5, 7* Oregon -23, covers by 16 and 6* GW +2.5 covers by 18.5. I don't think this one will be as easy but I LOVE it again.

6* Nova -2, they are the hottest team and the Sooners season comes to an end.
4* Syr +5.5 1h, I like them to keep it close as they have all of the tourney games and then a 2nd h NC run for them to cover but I'm going to wait to post a half time play to see if I get a better line.

GL

Let's get another one!

Would not have pointed out the UVa halftime score but for this statement by the OP:

"I like them to keep it close as they have all of the tourney games and then a 2nd h NC run for them to cover..." That would suggest that he thinks the UVA game was close at the half.

I gotta agree with Sam here, the Cuse have dug themselves some pretty damn deep holes in first halves so far and then found a new game in the second. GL anyway MG.

Guys you have valid and solid comments and I should be more clear in my statement. Cuse has kept it close in three of their four games, leading in two and trailing Gonzaga by one before being down big against VA. So, I think they keep it close. I like MitRetSam's comment as many times the opposite of what you think is going happen, happens. Gambling it is. As for MRS's comment about Okl being just as hot, I beg to differ.

Vill is on a 19-2, 21-3, 21-5 run and has beaten some high quality teams in this tournament badly. M Fla by 23, Iowa by 19, not to mention KU the number one seed overall.

Ok is on a 7-4, 11-5, 14-6 run an beaten some good teams in Oregon by12, A&M by 14 and then VCU by 4 and UC Santa Barbara by 14. I have to side with Villinova.

I love Nova here. The way these kids are playing defense and sharing the ball is impressive. I think Buddy could go for 40 and Nova would still win. The shooting conditions at NRG are a concern until you realize Oklahoma is more dependent than Nova whom also attacks the glass. Last year I had a huge play on Wisconsin in this spot against Kentucky and this year, I just see this game as a mis match. They have the better offense, the better defense, and o yeah, they are shooting over 85% from the foul line in the tourney, 93% the last two games. They were 18-19 against Kansas last week.

I dont get into the hyperbole but Nova is really on a mission here and Im not sure Oklahoma offers much resistance. They have 4 guys capable of guarding Buddy who as great as he is, only looks for his own shot.

I am fully confident that Oklahoma will leave Houston a loser Saturday night. Lets bring it in MG.

BobbyJ...One of the reasons I love Villanova is their defense has shut down some pretty good scorers in the likes of Utoff at Iowa only 16, Rodriquez of M FL only 13 and Ellis of KU only 4. I think they'll devise a defense to keep Hield to under 24 and if that happens, they win. Hield is great and if he does get 40, I'm with you in thinking Nova still advances to the championship game with a comfortable win.

Absolutely agree with the last two comments. Villanova has really quick guards that I think will be able to frustrate the Oklahoma guards. And everyone knows if Buddy don't score a lot Oklahoma probably has no chance. Good luck.

Last statement is spot on, I think if Oklahoma had a bad shooting night there goes their chances to win, shooting percentages drop drastically when playing in big stadiums i think that gives a edge to nova, Oklahoma depends too much on the 3, live by the 3 and die by the 3!

Nova shoots a ton from 3 as well. Nova is better defensively and they will defend every second of the shot clock. They are also second in the nation in 2-point field-goal percentage. Oklahoma is 187th. I am a Nova guy so my opinion is biased. This may sound silly but if they are beating Oklahoma to loose balls I like their chances.
