If I could get 3-1 on this horse, I'd wager $2000 to win immediately! I will admit, I have been busy "crushing" the books in MLB the last 45 days, so I have neglected "watching" The Sport of Kings" as closely as I normally do. But when Robby indicated he thought this horse today at Arlington, WILCOX INN, trained by Mike Stidham, would simply WIN easily, I had to take notice. So I'm sharing this one with you.

Arlington 9th Race #4 WILCOX INN

Now back to MLB! Check out the RX Forum Standings in MLB as I'm simply finding baseball easier this season than ever before! The stats don't lie, and my record speaks for itself. My biggest problem is hoping I don't get "cut off"....you know how bookmakers are, they think they are NEVER supposed to lose. Well, this handicapper and my source have taught some well known emporiums a lesson!

Good luck to all!

So let me get this straight.

You take a break from "crushing" MLB to come over here and not crush horse racing yet again, violate your self-imposed lifetime ban on posting about racing, and give us one of the most ridiculous reasons possible for playing a horse, "the jockey thinks he will win".

There are some very talented horses in this race and the pace scenario is going to be highly suspect because I don't see anyone who wants the lead. Wilcox Inn is one of the contenders, but is a very tough read given he has not raced on firm turf all year. There are going to be several in this field with similar closing kick and this race all comes down to trip. Anyone saying they have a sure winner in this race is blowing smoke.

Congrats on your win, but betting a 2-1 shot "because the jockey said so" is far from great handicapping. The jock ran a very smart race, with hardly any speed on, getting to the front by the turn was a shrewd move and he had plenty of horse to make the trip stay.

tread FYI: it was a team effort (horse with ability, vet., good jock I know is not "blowing smoke" and a talented racehorse.) Info "you" can't buy in a racing form. I never claimed to be a "great handicapper'....just a very "connected" person who gets info that money can't buy. Re: the 2-1, you can live very comfortable betting on anything that wins and pays 2-1. Remember this, "pigs get fat, and hogs get slaughtered. Have a nice evening.

I'm not confused about anything Harry, my last comment was directed at TryTryTry who called it "great capping", when even as you have admitted, you are not capping at all but passing along insider information. Congrats to you as well on your score.

If "insiders" knew what they were talking about on a regular basis, they would all be rich from their gambling winnings. But as anyone who frequently follows horse racing knows, "insider" information is a bust much more often than it is correct, as your past posts in this very forum have proven.

But even if you throw money down on favorites, you are statistically going to be right 1/3 of the time, so it's not like it is always wrong. This happened to be one of those times, so enjoy. The question is, will you be right often enough to post a profit betting on favorites? All evidence to the contrary.

tread- FYI: When a young rider from Louisiana, where scores of successful jockeys learn the trade and pay their dues come from, more recently, a rider named Edwin Maldonado-Alicia, departed Evangeline Downs for southern California. I know this, as he rode for me on several occaisions. I invite you to do the research on him in the last year, and look at the mutual prices that horses he rode paid, when they won. I bet on every winner he rode, and did not bet on any of those he rode that were unplaced. He is still basically a "hidden treasure" regarding getting a great mutual on horses when he wins. Sooner rather than later, like Joe Talamo, he will be "discovered" and the prices will go down as he wins, as we all know great jockeys are wagered on regardless of what the horse looks like on paper. I have cashed several wagers on horses that Edwin has ridden over the last 8 months in California, a very tough arena to win in. Of course you evidently do not read all of the selections I post online here. You seem to read just the favorites. I can assure you, if you think inside information, from a rider is useless, you evidently have never owned, trained, or ridden race horses before. Of course anything can happen, a horse can "break down" as well as simply "break badly out of the gate"....thats racing. But if you think, racing is totally on the "up and up", good luck!
