This is my first keeper league so I'm kinda new to this. I'm taking over a team that finished 2-11 last year, I was thinking of keeping mjd and romo because that's really my only choice. Someone offered me this trade, I would send him romo and my 6th round pick for peyton hillis, b.Lloyd and a 7th round pick. He also said I could switch out hillis for steven Jackson, good trade or not?

Keep MJD and Romo.

If he stays healthy Romo could lead all QB's in stats this season.

Not only does Romo have Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, and Felix Jones coming out of the backfield as weapons, but the Dallas Defense will be giving up points again this season, especially to their NFC East opponents, which equals more time for the Cowboys' offense to be on the field...

Romo gets drafted in the 4th or 5th round usually. Hillis in the 3rd. Jackson in the 2nd or 3rd. Lloyd in the 5th. I think Hillis and SJax are about even. I'd take SJax for trade value purposes.

You are essentially getting a 2nd/3rd rounder and a 5th rounder for a 4th rounder and a trade down in draft picks later. I say do it if I'm reading it right.

He wrote in the fantasy forum he can keep three, but there he wrote 9th round instead of seventh.

Sorry, you can keep up to 3 players. If I keep 3 then I wouldn't pick till the 4th round. Mjd is not part of the deal, so my 3 keepers would be, s. Jackson, mjd and Lloyd. would you take Jackson over peyton hillis?

correct but we have changed things since then. We can keep up to 3 players so if I do the deal my keepers would be, mjd, jax and Lloyd. plus his 7th round pick.

Sacrificing a 3rd rounder for Brandon Lloyd wouldn't be smart. Giving up a 2nd rounder for SJax would be okay I suppose. I'd rather give up my 2nd rounder for him than Romo.

The question basically boils down to "Do I keep Tony Romo and lose my 2nd rounder or do I keep Steven Jackson, lose my 2nd rounder, and drop from the 6th to the 7th round later?".

Yea, I'm thinking if I do the deal my RB position would be set and I could pick up Eli or freeman later on.

He would get my 6th round which is the last pick of that round. Then I would get the 1st and 5th pick of the 7th round.

Oh absolutely do it then. Get some SJax. Guys like Eli, Kolb, Cutler, and maybe even Stafford will be available a couple of rounds later.
