Wondering what everyone thinks about this game. Just seems to me that Depaul will have a hard time getting up for this game, since they were so close to making the Dance. Their season is over, and this is a JV tournament to most people. Missouri, on the other hand, had no chance to make the dance, and has been playing fairly well, covering a lot of spreads and winning some big games at home. Seems that the home court, as well as the general spirits of the teams would favor Missouri more than 3 points. I know that Deiner is probably not ready to quit playing, but they have clearly been a different team on the road than they have been at home. I like Mizzou -2.5 (free half point)

Anyone else have thoughts?

I see the motivation on Mizzou's side....They are happy/excited to be playing in the NIT after the horrible start they had...

Depaul no matter what they say I don't see how they want to go to MIzzou to play in the NIT.....This is not a happy team...

motivation? How did the conventional wisdom come to believe depaul didn't care? I read what was supposedly said and I think it was overstated. Leato is a gamer. You really think he's gonna let his kids mail one in? He was surely lighting a fire at shootaround today. Kleiza vs. Greer should be entertaining. Both teams so inconsistent, no way I could lay points. I'd take em or pass...and I'm passing, though I believe DP may be the more talented team at 3 if not 4 positions. All will come down to shooting %...as it usually does for DP on the road.

C2C- Good call. This was a game I should have laid off. I wasn't about to take DePaul, but really should have had no faith in Missouri. They are such an inconsistent team, and I deserved to lose this one. Deiner 7-11 from 3 sure didn't help matters. And Mizzou pulled their 8 minutes without a field goal in the 2nd half, just like usual when I have money on them. That's 3 times this year that I have watched live on TV that they have had an 8 minute drought in the 2nd half, at home. Ridiculous. Notre Dame laid down tonight, and I thought DePaul would do the same. The announcers said during the game that they were sure down today at the shootaround, but they turned it on before gametime, I guess. It was a coin flip either way, and a stupid bet on my part. Damn.

Diener was insane, you can't anticipate someone going off like that. The left handed tip in he had on the offensive boards when it was a 1 point game was sick. As bad as Mizzu was playing, they were still right there but for Diener's career night

It was sure frustrating to watch that game and be on the other side of Deiner. And you're right, the bet still could have won. I'm just very upset with myself for talking myself into this bet. It was a coin flip. Should have taken Va Tech instead.
