Anyone have a case of excess gas? I woke up at 3 am this morning and must have blown out about 20 barn burners. I'm not talking the garden variety. I'm talking the type with a lot of volume (both gas volume and sound volume).

I woke up at 8 am and continued. It's now 12:30 pm and things are still at the Mount Vesuvius level. I'm trying to think of what I may have eaten that would cause me to be this way. I've pretty much eaten all American food the last couple days with the exception of an Indian restaurant last night but I wouldn't think that could act so quickly.

On a positive note, I look like I've lost 10 pounds.

Anyone else have a bad case like this? What did you do? Did you just wait out the storm? (sorry for the bad pun)

Lots and lots of water, it will clean you out.

Thanks kingbill.

Doc, no more meat and no cows milk. Come to think of it, I am drinking soy milk a lot more. Can that cause it?

Good thing you got the bad case of gas now, instead of on that flight back from the Far East.

I used to think all the soy that I ate was giving me gas. It probably does give you a lot of gas, but since i've started drinking 2 gallons of water a day i've been gas free. Take bill's advice!

I have a 1 1/2 hour flight to Phuket Island on Sunday. I should be able to hold it that long. Then I can let it out on the beach.

Things are getting a little better today at least.

Quantum,
Indian food is renowned for gas, especially if your not used to it, its all to do with the excess of onions. You can get charcoal tablets in an emergency, like stopping that flight becoming a "what went wrong" documentary or some Ginger, fresh or powered, infused in some water. :drink:

Thanks Winbet. I just didn't think that food could work so quickly but I guess so. Come to think of it, I guess this isn't such a bad situation after all. The relief is kind of nice when it passes.
