When inserting a sum function into cell D and using Cell A & B for the numbers I want to add, I am left with a function Like SUM(A1,B1) in cell D. When I try to sort the data with the cell D, I cannot. Can you tell me what I need to do so that I can sort the cell D data?

Thansk for any assistance.

That should work fine - I just tried it and had no problems - make sure you are sorting by the correct direction (ascending or descending)

It doesn't matter, General, it should sort fine.

How are you sorting it? I highlight the range of lines I want to sort by left-clicking on the first, holding the <SHIFT> key down and left-clicking on the last line, then I choose 'Data', then 'Sort', then I choose 'Column D' in the first Sort box, and 'ascending', then 'Ok' and it works just fine.

here's a sample....

5teamparlay....... 0 3 0 -3.3
99percent 0........ 2 1 0 -2.2
AI D Nice 3........ 2 0 0 0.8
Allstar...........0 6 0 -6.6
anthony richkas... 2 2 0 -0.2
arizonabettor..... 3 6 0 -3.6

I have used 2 other sheets to add the data in the 3 columns WLT. When trying to sort the data it will not allow with the function (in the WLT cells).

The #REF!'s indicate the function i have in the cells that do not allow me to sort.

Oh - well, then not sure what's going on - if you want, send a copy of it (fudge the names and numbers if you wish for anonymity's sake), and I'll take a look at it ... **

Much appreciated Jay. I figured there had to be an easy way. Not much easier than that. Thank you too Jazz for your time.
