Everyone Vote! Should the RX get rid of those dark red threads at the top of the sports forums?

The owners apparently think that we, the posters, like the dark red threads at the top of the screen. I, for one, hate them...

So, I would like to take a poll, and let's vote on keeping the dark red threads, or getting rid of them!!!

I for one like them, and hope they will stay. It keeps people focused on discussing the capping of the games, and thats it.

Otherwise people seem to spend far too much time worrying about their posted records which is really of no use to anyone but their own ego.

They do a good job of making sure the forum becomes a handicapping discussion rather than a tout breeding ground.

i disagree....as you know....throughout the day, tons of games are played...the dark red threads are at the top, and those games do not include all games...so second halves, lower key games fall to the bottom or second page, and we cannot see them

Why not they get rid of everything or everybody that causes trouble around here. But in the Christmas spirit they are inviting those holigans back so we should keep it or not, oh who cares. Where is the Outhouse when you need to get rid of your threads.

I like them. If I want info on a specific NBA game, I can just click on the "dark red thread". It drives me nuts when I click on 10-15 different threads, and none of them pertain to the game(s) I'm interested in.

Given time, I think people will start using the "dark red threads" more and more.

How about a shorter time limit. Anyone that is loyal to this site and doing their job walks buy the screen atleast every hour??

Now that there is NBA, NHL, and FB theres alot more shit to deal with during the day and I guess I never really thought about before but if it is a "Breaking News" type of thread that would justify a 3 hour window!?

They've been going up each night Alki, just put some up in the NBA forum. After the game tips off though we take them down. When there is a full slate of games I don't do all of them, usually top 25 teams in college hoops and 4 or 5 in the NBA. If we do them all the whole page could be games, try to do at least a few but I haven't done every single game. I don't mind doing them all as they just take a second but most want us to limit how many are up top. Just trying to find a happy median. Thanks for the input guys. What they do when I leave is up to them but like it if we can build on it some. If we can get guys to use it for injury updates and stuff like that it could be a nice tool for a capper.

Definitely has some potential.
