Just las week a poster named Bayer1 was complaining about a few posters not paying him after he went head to head with them on picks for the night. He cried and cried and cried, calling people scammers. He ragged on surfboard for scamming him.

I will quote from his posts:

btw.: I got a list of four players now. One is legit - Surfboard and FireGradyLittle are stiffer. However it is amazing how some guys use this site here for stiffing. I play all the picks I make at sportsbooks anyways for a larger ammount so this person vs. person was just for personal fun to see how i do against others.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Anyway, just to see how honest this guy was, I played him head to head for the week. We started Tuesday and ended Sunday. I went 9-1 and he went 4-4 and didnt even make his last 2 plays. Anyway, even if he won the last 2 he would be 6-4 and owe me 300 dollars. Needless to say, he hasnt paid me anything and has not replied to any of my emails. Am I shocked? Hell NO! This guy was an obvious scammer. If anyone paid him, I feel sorry for them. For those that didn't good for you. Because he would not have paid you if you would have won! I have all the emails saved to prove this. But we wont have to. I am sure he won't be coming in here under his name Bayer1 ever again. I can live without the money he owes me, but I am hoping that no one takes this warning lightly and learns a lesson from here.

Danny, I wanted to see how many rats are coming out of their holes this time. But guess what - no one. So it looks like there are really just two or three real stiffers in here.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Well we all know who the stiffer is now!

Thank you and good day.

I still would like to challenge you to a contest...1 v 1...

I can put up $100 to $200 at most.

I will be ATS or TOTAL and about 25 picks will have to be made...

And the money will be sent via Neteller or book to book transfer...prefering the latter.

Well guess what! He came online on Tuesday> and posted 2 plays. He said he was sick on sunday night and all monday so he couldnt get online. He went 1-1. For the week I went 9-1 and he went 5-5. He said he would neteller me 400 dollars by wednesday morning. Of course he hasn't. Once again I am not shocked. Just warning everyone to stay away from him.

A relief to see this kind of post - a warning to others - rather than seeing the usual post seeking comfort through whining tears, being foolish enough to wager with someone you will never see and expect payment!
It's a loooooooooong shot to expect it, unlikey to an extreme is putting it mildly, but I certainly hope you receive it.

He has stopped posting altogether, except for the free contests section.

LMAO -- NOTHING will keep these stiffs from their free contests.

Gooch

Ivan like most POSTERS on a POSTING FORUM likes to refer to himself as being a "stand up guy"

Who cares if he is or is'nt, it's not the fricking point. Any wager you make on the INET you run the risk of getting screwed.

Most gamblers I think have every intention of honoring a bet when they place it. It's after they lose the bet is when the wheels start turning. Shit like "Fvck him I know he would'nt have paid me if he had lost" or they simply say "fvck him he can't do anything"

Not only will you run the risk of not being paid you may also end up paying a guy who had NO intensions of honoring the bet if he had lost.

Is it really worth saving the 7%-10% for the risk? Is saving $20.00 on a $200.00 bet worth the $20.00 worth of phone calls running the guy down? Is all the time spent sending emails really worth it?

good points DickyW, I know there is plenty of risk and I think you talked me out of taking someone on based on their word alone. I was very close to playing with bayer1 a couple weeks ago, lucky I didn't.

Ivan: If you can find a book or a trusted poster (general...) to hold the money I will go 1 on 1 with you as described above, if your interested that is.
