Guys:

Tonight's game is just one game of an entire lifetime. Try to keep it in that perspective. We are all here to help each other not compete with each other and try to prove who is right or wrong or who is the better handicapper.

I'm going to say this one more time, but I'm sure I will have to say it again in the future sometime. Our battle is with the bookmakers who are in business to take our money. Not with each other. The books will drain your money in a heartbeat. One of the biggest edges they have is the emotional instability of the player. They count on that big time. When you get emotional, you do things you wouldn't ordinarily do. Last night the debate was not as heated as tonight because you didn't allow yourselves to be personally attached. Keep your focus on making good sound decisions. Some of us will win tonight and some won't just like every other night. Tomorrow will be another day with more games and tonight will be history and we will move on. Everbody lighten up a little and enjoy the game tonight and try to remember today is Christmas.

Agreed Harrington , but also learn from eachother also. There is a saying, " everything you know is just the beginning". There is alot we can learn from the older guys, and the older guys can as well learn from what the younger guys can offer. I am getting tired of having to deal with knuckle heads who want to make trouble. We need to clean this place up. The veterans who are here as well as the new guys, common its not an old thing and young guys , its not a new thing.

When I came here almost a year ago, their was so much generous cappers who share alot of information with me and I learned alot. But they are gone and now there is really no one else to learn from or who is willing to share. Just a handful. I remained here this long because I want to give back to others what I was given.valuable knowlegde ,info , and help. But if things dont change soon, i am gone. I think I gave back enough. I think the ones who need and like all the praises and their ego stroked can have this place , fvckin losers. Lucky we not face to face. I fed up already. To much wasted energy here. You guys know of any other good places to do this thing. Lets see who else wants to see a change here. If more want a change they will support oldmanteds post. Im with you Ted.

Could not AGREE more TED,

The problem is this.

Have you have ever lived next door to a neighbor that knew you gambled, and WISHED nothing more than he himslef could gamble, even if it was for small money. And do you remember how hard it was for you to talk gambling talk and handicapping talk, and how that person felt left out, because they were not in the ACTION. And also how we as gamblers have a hard time listening to the neighbor about his picks, when he wagers NOTHING.

Well we have a lot of neghbors on the forum, that are not beating a book, not depositing money in offshore, not posting real plays, NOT GAMBLING AT ALL. but they are here, here to try and act like gamblers. SO I agree with everything you have stated, but REAL GAMBLERS must keep balance with the amount of imposters, and internet phonies. NEWPORT

Wel said, Ted. Co-Captain, you are a valuable and well respected poster here. There are F Heads everywhere. I am in a pissing contest now on Gatorcountry with a $10 a game player who just showed up and started slamming me for losing 1 game. He wasn't there when I had 9 winning weeks out of 10. Frigging JohnnyCumLately's are everywhere. Ignore them. This race is a marathon, not a sprint. Thanks again. LT

Well said, Ted.

Guys, there are plenty of sites where there's a lot more bickering and bashing that goes on here. Let's keep it in perspective. I left a site I had posted on for 6 years because of the constant bashing. In fact, when the moderator himself told me that I should be able to take the bashing, I decided that wasn't the place for me. This is my second year at the RX and I like this place a lot. I think we should all contribute to making this a first-class site where we will all feel comfortable and at home. And I certainly agree with those who have said that the main reason we are here is to help each other. Let's keep that the main priority.

Just one piece of advice: let's keep our egos out of it as much as possible. Thanks.

Bottom line, I value everyones opinion and we are all out to beat the man. We will butt heads with our picks, but slamming someone's pick is ridiculous. Co-Captain and others here have won me more money than they have cost me. So to him and others I say thanks, I'm up a lot of cash this season, and keep doing what you are doing!!! I've won more than I lost with help and opinions on this forum and thats what matters.

Aloha Geek, I am glad my friend that I was able to help in anyway.

***Attention***

Anyone else who also agrees in making this place a place where all of us can agree to work with eachother, support , learn from eachother. While at the same time keeping all of our ego's out of it and showing eachother mutual respect all with the purpose of beating the man. We all are not going to agree, and will have differences of opinions on games, but we shouldn't see the other person as the enemy because he chose the other side or has a difference of opinion. I for one am guilty of doing this, and I thank some people here for reminding me of this.

No one here is your enemy, the book is your enemy, remember that, the next time you lose a play and especially when you win. Please join in by posting a response showing it. We have some very solid people already responding and this is a very good sign for all. It would be better though to get more. This is for all to benefit, unless you are one, that just cant handle starting shit cause your to immature to see the big picture and that is for all of us to SUCCEED! Life like oldmanTed stated is to short, lets benefit from it, and from eachother when we can. Go ahead post your support.

For all who post, I for one promise to always support you against anyone who tries to unfairly attack you or is affecting you from benefitting from this forum. Just like how oldmanTed, Gator Coach LT, NY Reb, Geek, hansen bros, etc has shown me support, and vice versa. I am sure all us here will return the favor. Aloha CC.

oldman Ted,

I am in complete agreement that I will support anyone in this group who is attacked by someone. We are all here to help each other and if we all had the same opinions, it would be like all of us jumping off of a bridge. I appreciate those that are free thinkers and leaders who are willing to be different because it allows us to see angles we might not have seen through our blindness at times. Best of luck to those involved on this thread and you have my 100% support. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Uncle Ted, (and I use that with the utmost respect), alot of people in here just like to cause contraversy just for the sake of arguement. I, for one, just want to use this site to make some cash and I have narrowed the list of cappers I trust and faithfully read to you, Dawgman, and Co-Captain. I have made some pretty descent cash off of all of your insights. I almost feel like I need to send you all a cut. Okay - over that feeling now. (LOL).
Last year I used Northcoasts picks, which anyone that followed that knows that they were hot in the beginning of bowl season but went ice cold in the last half (right when I was beginning to believe and going for bigger bucks). Really respect your insights and hope we can all take the man to the cleaners.

Thanks
jwb
