Hey guys,

I'm relatively new to sports betting and have been having pretty good success following some of the top cappers here.

Two of the last three days(I work nights), I've had a dream that Oklahoma covers. The opponent was never mentioned, but I woke up both times with the clear picture of an OU cover.

Obviously, I am an OU fan so it just may be wishful thinking.

I plan to make a small wager just to test it out. The number 29 kept popping up in my first dream so if that number comes into play that will definitely be weird.

Have any of you ever had this happen, and did it work for you?

Dream Plays (0-0)

1.5 units is worth it to me. I'd kick myself if I layed off it and it was a winner.

Another thing, when I went to bed this morning OU was -3. The number 4 figured prominently in the second dream and when I got up the line was -4. I almost laid off but then thought, if I'm going to have a dream it's not gonna be about a freakin' push.

We'll see.

I have experienced this before and the reason is that you are so entrenched with thinking about the sport, team, etc. and on top of that placing your money on it. For me, it didn't mean anything. I don't even remember what the game was. I don't claim to be a psychic either, but I do think some people honestly have a gift for that. It's an interesting subject for sure. Everybody experiences deja vu and the more you experience it, the more psychic you supposedly are.

Sometimes people think something is going to happen and then it does...then all of a sudden that person is psychic. Everybody does that though...I knew my girlfriend was going to get in an accident because her car is a piece of sh*t, she is a relatively inexpereienced driver, and she can't drive worth a sh*t on top of that. So what happens? She gets in an accident...but I'm no pyschic...it's logic.

I believe also that you dream about what you are thinking about when you go to sleep the majority of the time. If you're thinking OU covers before the fact, you are of course going to dream that. You're basically willing it to happen. If you're thinking about winning the lottery, you're going to dream that you win it, etc.

Now I'm just rambling because I'm not busy at work and having said all of that, betting on a dream is pure stupidity. That's just my opinion though. Put the work into it and cap the game, then make your decision to play it or not. Unless you are a psychic, which I doubt, I wouldn't bet on a dream or some "vision." I think some people have a small gift for seeing certain things in the future, but maybe I'm just gullible. If you are a psychic, make sure you come back here and post your dreams again. But I'll need more proof than 1 game. GL!!

OU -4 isn't that bad of a bet to begin with, so I would definitely have to win several games before I buy into it and up my bets. The first loss proves that the dreams mean nothing.

HAd Canada baseball against the most miserable olympic baseball team in history (Greece) today. HAd to lay -420 but I did it.

Have a pending on MArdy Fish to win the Tennis Gold medal. Actualy had a dream on opening night that he won the Gold so I went to Pinnacle and played it figuring why not! that would be huge, if he can get to the finals I Can buy out of it and lock in a huge profit but not yet its only the quarterfinals. (maybe a bit in the semis)

HAve the S Korea womens to win team Archery at -800 (dont laught it closed at -2200!!!) that is free money.

Im no expert so I did not post any of these as great ideas or anything. Just a few that I liked and played.

If I really knew anything solid Id post it here before the events!! these dont count for anything other than discussion.
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Fish was 85-1 and I made a ton on this one as he advanced to the final! Total fluke but Dreams can pay off and I would have been sick watching it if I did not play it after dreaming about it.

I agree with the reasoning behind it, it's human psychology to dream about something that is on your mind and add to the fact the desired outcome. I would find it much more meaningful if you were having dreams about some small school you dont even know about and then find that they have a lined game that night! No but seriously, don't let your mind mess with your money, cause it pretty much is wishful thinking (dreaming). With all that said, I think oklahoma wins tonight and you have a good bet. Oh by the way I did have one dream that the braves would win one day this summer and lo and behold the next day they did! Good luck to you

Had to reply here...

I'm a huge Eagles fan in the NFL, been one since 1973...Twice, I have had dreams the night before a big playoff game...I think it was Dallas both times, but the first one I remember vividly, for some reason, and it was Dallas, the game was at the old Vet, I really wanted to lay a bundle on Dallas because of the dream, but couldn't pull the trigger...Dallas won easily...I can't remember the 2nd dream quite as easily, but the Eagles lost that one too, at Home...These were in the mid-to-late 90s...

I am still waiting for that third dream...I didn't bet the previous 2, maybe because I just didn't want my Eagles to lose, but since my dreams are 2-0 ATS, I figure that's the best "system" I got going...
