Even If He Bombs In The NFL, Is Tim Tebow The Greatest Florida Gator Ever?

Obviously Emmitt Smith & other Florida players have had not only fantastic Gator careers, but gone on to dominate the NFL as well.

Even if Tim Tebow flunks out in the NFL, will he go down as the most memorable and/or great Florida Gator ever?

Without the NFL career he won't be the most memorable but he may still be the best ever at that school.

Yes he will be....because your judging him JUST on his college career....just like Christian Laetner is probably the best college basketball player ever...and I know its arguable......but he's in the top 5...you get my point....his pro career was nothing special.....

Everyone has such a hard-on for this guy because he's here playing now but Barry Sanders, Vince Young and many others were great college football players and some had a lot worse teams than Tebow has had and carried them.

I agree.

Teblow has lost 5 games over the past 2 seasons. Super Danny lost 2 games over 2 years.

Let's see how Teblow does this year.

He is great fullback, but he is not in the category as VY and Sanders imo. Those guys carried their teams, Teblow has others around him.

Tebow makes everyone around him better. He keeps defenses guessing cause he has so many ways of beating them. This opens up the game for the rest of the players on his team. Some of this guys (Harvin, Demps, Hernandez, etc) wouldn´t have such good careers if it wasn´t for Tebow. True competitor, big heart, big desire to win, good work ethics. He´s the kinda guy you want on your team.

Well yeah, they improved a lot in 2007 and he had a season to be remembered, so it was hard to notice a big improvement for 2008. In 2008 I felt he matured a lot, still had a pretty good season, his team was playing the best football I´ve seen in a while and won a championship. Can´t ask for more.

If Sam Bradford where UF's qb would they have won the National Title, I believe the answer is yes.

Tebow is a great competetior (sp), but what does he do better than Danny Wureffel (sp), VY, Tommie Frazier.

Danny was accurate as hell. VY used his athletic ability to win games.

People will realize how great Percy Harvin was come this year.

About Bradford, we´ll never know. Some players fit in perfectly with certain teams, you can obviously tell that the chemistry is there, other great players just don´t. Bradford doesn´t have Tebow´s rushing ability and that was a big weapon for the Gator´s Offense. So not sure about that.

I must say that some of the players you mentioned I never had the chance to see them play. But what Tebow has accomplished is very impressive.

And I agree, I think Percy Harvin is going to have a very succesful NFL career.

He'll have a chance in the NFL no doubt. It remains to be seen if he'll be good, great, or be out in a few years.
