Is the house in Escazu or Malibu or South Beach? What could you possibly be thinking to assume that that house is worth anywhere near $1 million? I hate to say it, but there's no one left to pay these insane prices for Costa Rican real estate. I'd be surprised if you got an offer of over $300k. That's a nice green yard and there's nice scenery, but what the f*ck? Real estate prices reached their high water mark in CR before 9/11. Nowadays, property values here are nowhere near their former levels...ESPECIALLY HIGH END.

Try selling it to whoever did the appraisal.

100 k for it is a steal. Id say its worth 250K maybe higher if you could see the house. From that angle it does not look that big.
